  • (2022-02-07) Francis So: This is a good improvement to the Hacker News site. My only bug I've notice is when HackerNews has the "Applications are open for YC Summer 2022", the banner at the bottom blocks off the "More" button and it prevents users from going to the following page.
  • (2017-02-17) Peter Conerly: Commenting with this extension is currently broken-- I had to disable it for now. It'd be great to get a fix!
  • (2016-12-13) Alexei Zakharov: It hides the search box.
  • (2016-08-25) James Bergman: HackerNews is much better with this extension. Thanks for recently adding support for HN's native thread collapsing.
  • (2016-07-19) Kevan Benson: With the recent Hacker News changes that allow collapsing threads (and remembering collapsed threads through reloads for a period) I decided to try Hacker News without this extension again for a while. I just decided that's not going to work for me. After a few years of use, I really like the look and feel of this extension, and the popup info, and I can't go without them any more. My only complaints are: * Sometimes getting the footer with search to pop up is problematic, even when I'm hovering the cursor at the bottom. A more definitive way to raise that footer would be welcome. * Since HN has its own thread collapse now, it makes sense to remove the version here so it's not confusing.
  • (2014-09-29) Matt Brennan: Since recent updates, hovering over a username crashes the browser every single time.
  • (2014-07-11) Jason Fruit: Everything is nice, except that with infinite scrolling, it's impossible to scroll to the bottom, where the search box is still presumably waiting. For that reason, I've stopped using it.
  • (2013-11-10) douglas steinwand: Some features, like pop-up karma boxes and social sharing, are annoying. Otherwise, it's pretty good. Note: Infinite scroll strangely requires being logged into the ycombinator website.
  • (2013-06-03) Archan Mishra: Awesome interface , very minimalistic and clean. Keep up the good work.
  • (2013-03-19) Ricky Saini: UI is pretty poor, but otherwise it does what it functionally says.
  • (2013-03-09) Awesome extension. Best part is that no one knows you're reading HN and they won't judge you. It'd be nice if the titles were smaller, I like seeing more than 12 at once
  • (2012-12-19) Peter Hui: Looks good (font size is just right on my 27" monitor), but infinite scroll isn't working. Plus, it would be great to have an option for opening links in new tab.
  • (2012-10-14) Patrick Huber: just great!
  • (2012-06-15) Casey Banner: Great stuff!
  • (2012-05-29) Axel Anderson: This is great, but I agree the search form should be moved to the top as it's very difficult to use now.
  • (2012-05-07) Alex Greene: I think this is great, but something about the regular design is easier to read. I think the titles are too large, which makes skimming over them more of a task. Otherwise, it's awesome.
  • (2012-05-07) is no work. couldn't browse HN till I uninstalled.
  • (2012-05-07) Johan Thepumpkin: Neat!!!
  • (2012-05-07) Roland Ligtenberg: Nice! Clean.
  • (2012-05-07) Christopher Truman: Beautiful way to view hacker news! Love the pagination!
  • (2012-05-07) Jan Ustohal: Nice extension, gives HN a cleaner and fancier look... I would however appreciate moving the search field to the top, since the infinite scrolling makes it difficult to access...
  • (2012-05-07) Patrick: This is a really lovely app to use. Makes the site a lot more clean and enjoyable to use.
  • (2012-05-07) Mo Wildman: Absolutely love this extension, have been using it for a few weeks now and going back to the old Hacker News just doesn't cut it compared to HackerNew
