Bug Fixes:
- Fixed Service Worker not initializing. This was due to an issue when converting the manifest version from V2 to V3. No more flashbang when you first load Google Classroom!
- Fixed more theming issues that are becoming more prevalent. Everything should be fully functional (as of Oct. 28th, 2025).

The extension does not collect any of your data. It uses the storage function to save your selected colour mode on the extension, or if you have it disabled, so the next time you come to classroom your settings are saved and reapplied.
All the code used for the dark mode is original, therefore there will be bugs and areas that are not the correct colour, style, etc. Please let me know if there is something that is does not look visually correct.

- It was working fine, but I had an update that blocked all extensions and had to have it unblocked for my school issued laptop and it is not working since being unblocked. =( Five stars still because it was great when it worked for me. Hopefully it will start working again after a restart or something.

- Its really good but could you please fix some of the sections that arent affected by Dark Mode, like when you press the "+" button to join a class, the section to enter a Class Code isnt Darkened, and neither is the Newly added Gemini Page. Also the text on work set and tasks is rather grey, I think white would be better in my opinion

- the colors on the homepage are messed up; when there's images on the banners, the tint over it gets removed. other than that it's pretty good.

- I'm not sure if I'm missing something but while the extension works well on most of Classroom, when I open any student assignments, the dark mode is no longer functioning. Since this is the space I most need dark mode (to relieve the strain on my eyes during hours of reading student work and grading online), the extension unfortunately isn't quite what I need. EDIT - updated to 4 stars - I discovered that if I open the student work in a new window, then the dark mode works! An extra step required and one that others might not realize is needed (hence 4 instead of 5 stars) but otherwise extremely helpful!

- Hi, Great extension, but a suggestion would be to add an option to make the assignment text white instead of gray. And a uniform classroom background color so the class name doesn't contrast with some of the class banners

- yo man this is honestly perfect my eyes finally got a relief from that sun glare. just one thing to say can u make the icons on the sidebar of the classroom like the normal color as color coding really helps seperate some things anyways thx for this really helped

- it used to work really well but now its very laggy and most of it still stays white. sometimes it doesn't even load and i cant see any texts. please try to fix this.

- i have gone through the review section after using this extension but it's a bit broken the menu bar where google classroom is written is complete white when you open a class other than comments/task teacher have given the background is complete white, when i select class the left most side where it shows classes.the cyan colour is a bit bright, where the text is are all visible so that's great and home page of google classroom is some what good as well. and this extension is still better than other extension i just tried.one recommendation if possible can u add one customize button where we can select different theme like complete black,gray, dark gray(this one),if we wanna put image with transparency reduced like we can customize background in gmail that be great

- I like it but maybe you can change some colors in the palette, for example the texts that are in black or dark colors cuz with this it's more difficult to read those texts :). And if you could do the same for google docs, unless you've already done it...

- The assignment title is hard to see on some screens, because of black text on dark grey backdrop or dark grey text on black backdrop.

- its dark, but there is artifacts, color is not inversed so you have black text on a black background. its not pleasant

- Thank you so much for this! I have been using it for some months now and everything has worked flawlessly. However, I think it was since the last update, now when I'm in the home menu and see all my classes, the descriptions of the tasks that are due less than a week are written in black and not in white, for example, I have a task that says "Due Monday" and it is written in white, but the little description beneath it is in black letters and proves difficult to read.
