UpNote Web Clipper lets you quickly save all or part of a web page to UpNote app.
UpNote is a clean and beautiful app for writing and organizing notes. It's easy to use with rich features and delightful experience. You can download UpNote for free on Mac, iOS, Windows and Android device.
HOW TO USE
1. Install UpNote app from Mac App Store or Windows Store:

2. Enable UpNote Web Clipper from the Chrome Browser.
3. Whenever you want to save a web page, simply click on the UpNote Web Clipper icon from the browser toolbar and open UpNote app. The web page will be saved automatically to your note.
4. If you want to save a part of the web page instead of the full web page, simply select the part you need, then click the UpNote Web Clipper icon to save into UpNote app.

- It clips but need much improvement. I just tried clipping an article from a website and all I got was the website title in the title field of the note and a link. Would be nice to actually clip the article instead of the link. It is what it is for the price I guess but would be nice if it could clip the actual articles instead of just the link.

- Web clipper is and should be an essential part of note program, and UpNote, already an excellent note program, delivers on this front. It may have been nicer to specify notebook and/or add tags, but the extension does web clipping itself well and is available for several browser platforms not just Chrome.

- Downloaded this in Feb 2024 to test as an Evernote replacement. That program had gotten bigger and much more expensive to use. I've tried nearly every notes program out there and there was always something difficult for me to learn (I'm an old lady!), too cumbersome, had too many steps, etc. Had no issues with UpNote and started moving a small amount of my details I wanted to keep. I paid for the lifetime plan and have never looked back at Evernote! It transferred my saved clippings in a flash. And as the months clicked by, I added to it, categorized it and LOVED IT! They are adding new features and tweaking it as I go along. I highly recommend this for those looking for a personal notes program.

- edit: based on the user guide it is actually working but only on the https://getupnote.com/ homepage. am i misunderstanding the use of this extension? just being able to clip the homepage of a single site (i.e. getupnote.com) seems like an useless thing to do :/ extension not working on chrome. will update the feedback once fixed. i am clicking the extension but nothing's happening. (premium user).

- Works brilliantly here on an imac and my Ubuntu linux laptop, the sync to the laptop took a couple seconds for 1000 notes. It imported everything from the Evernote exported file with ease. Interface is nice and I have all the good things I had before using Evernote.

- This is a brilliant underrated app. All data is stored locally and automatically backed up so not possible to have data deleted by the system as earlier posts suggest, And it is seriously underpriced!

- I initially purchased the premium version of the UpNote, but unfortunately, I encountered a concerning issue after some time. My account was compromised and all of my files and saved items were inexplicably deleted. Upon attempting to log in, I was prompted to create a new account, which was a distressing experience and lost all my saved documents. This security breach has significantly impacted my trust in the product and its ability to safeguard user data. Now it is seting on my Desk without trusting it to use

- I installed on my Chrombook but it doesn't work for me. I opened an article in a tab and highlighted what I wanted to keep. Clicked the Upnote button and it asked for permission. I gave it permission and checked the box not to ask any more. Then nothing happened. I tried again and it asked for permission again. Still didn't clip the article. I will definitely change this review as I do like the app but the clipper isn't working just yet.

- I can't save only part of an article. I try to highlight the selected text I want to save and hit the icon and it saves the whole article. I also don't like how the browser asks permission to open Upnote every time I use it. It requires more clicks than it needs.

- There's no way to identify yourself to the extention, so I suspect that's why it doesn't do anything on a PC where you do not have the software installed. That's an issue at work where I can't install UpNote, an frankly don't want to. I just want to be able to clip like I did with Evernote. I'm sure it will get there eventually.

- It works, just refresh the pages open before installing the extension. Extension needs a little bit more polished, like saving note to specific notebook. However Upnote overall is a fantastic app, hope developer will improve the extension soon.

- As a long time Evernote user moving to UpNote, the web clipper actually seems to work better than Evernote's. It doesn't suck in large header images but actually gets the content of the page very well. I would like them to add the ability to select parts of the page like ENs does, but I can definitely use this.

- For those who have no response, try refreshing the page before clicking the extension. I tried and it worked. I do have some advice for the developer: 1. Please make the picture small by default. I have set the default size to small in the editor, but the captured picture is still big. 2. Make the URL to be in the format of `[Title](URL)`, the appended URL looks very ugly if it is a long one.

- Please improve this extention. It's most important thing for note taking app in my opinion. Your app is generally good but this extension is nightmare. Please make it like evernote or onenote chrome extensions. Keep it simple but give me options for taking partially, screenshot or just link.Also we can choose too direction of notes directly from extension if you change.I have subscription for month and I'm considering lifetime subscription but if you dont change extension i will turn back to evernote again...

- Funktioniert. Abhängig von der zu clippenden Website werden manchmal auch Bilder mit gespeichert, manchmal auch nicht. Das Problem haben andere Webclipper aber auch.
