[Summary]
In order to know whether or not corporate networks can handle webcasts, it is necessary to benchmark before the actual event. Our extension helps with performing such benchmark by starting video streams off-screens. During a test, we monitor bandwidth usage and packet drop to validate the network. The extension serves as a way to silently open a webpage in the background without disturbing users.

Please note, this extension works only tandem with an account at https://strivecast.com. After requesting an account, your account manager will contact you with the details about how to configure the extension so that it is linked to your account. The extension CANNOT be used without a StriveCast account and will simply do nothing.

Please note that this extension can also only be configured using a policy (group policy etc.) and not through an UI. This is on purpose, because this extension is expected to be used in corporate setups to automatically navigate multiple Browsers to a website to start a video stream silently in the background without users knowledge. The page which is being loaded contains Javascript to measure the performance on every Browser. You can see the results within the customer portal and evaluate your corporate network in terms of performance.
