Before you use this addon:
This add-on is mainly aimed at power users, this might sounds harsh, but it is not!
In order to get the most out of it, you have to define either own rules for websites, or use the "Global Flag", or "Auto flag" modes. Also, in case you use payment services, be advised to disable the "Global flag" feature temporarily. For example when using Paypal or other shopping/payment provider websites and such.
Long story made short:
1) Use "Global mode" if you are surfing, this will remove all kind of cookies while you browsing the web if not protected by "profile" mode.
2) Use "Auto flag" settings which will remove all cookies for one website - this can be useful if you only want to automatically remove these page cookies also if you revisit the website later again, this setting is stored for the website.
3) Use "Profile mode" either globally for a website, protecting all cookies of that domain if nothing no cookies are picked. Or protect single cookies even when "Global flag" or "Auto flag" modes are active.

As of version 3.0.27 translations can be done for Flag Cookies.
All translations are located inside \_locales/ folder - and the folders en for general English,as well as de for German language. Inside every folder is a messages.json located. This file holds all translated strings.

- (2022-09-10) Frak: Did not work with Instagram for use with JDownloader2 on my Mac (High Sierra) 1- Have to keep reloading the tab just to detect cookies even if I just switched to another tab (other extensions don't do this) 2- Once cookies are detected and I go to Preferences and try to export to JSON, it says "No cookie data to export" I ended up using the cookies.txt extension and converting that manually to JSON and copying to clipboard to get it to work with JDownloader2

- (2022-07-14, v:3.1.8) Corvo Attano: Cookies Not Getting Detected On Any Website
This problem seems to have started after the 2022-06-30 update. I noticed it because I have been using Flag Cookies to do cookie logins on the JDownloader program. If I reload the page, Flag Cookies seems to detect cookies, but after a few seconds, the cookies disappear from the list. If I try to use whatever cookies were detected for cookie login, it does not work, because crucial cookies like the sessionid are always missing. I also use EditThisCookie, and that extension is working as it should. The Mozilla version of this extension is working properly. Please fix the Chrome version when you can.
