An easy-to-use and very lightweight video player for local video/audio files, powered by Web technology. It works completely offline. In addition to using the mouse, it supports many useful keyboard shortcuts, as well as a few simple settings.

1.How to open the player?
Click the extension icon.
2.How to open files?
• Click the "Folder" icon in the panel
• Keyboard shortcut: Ctrl/Cmd + O
• Drag and drop files to the player
3.Subtitles
Independent or embedded subtitles are not supported. Maybe I will support independent subtitle files in the future.
Of course, if the subtitles are already in the video stream, they can be displayed.
4.Online streaming media
Currently only supports local file playback. There are no plans to support online streaming media.
5.Video format and codec
Because the underlying core functions are completely implemented by the browser, only some video formats and codec are supported. In addition, it doesn't support multiple audio tracks switching.

- (2023-09-12) Raj Sekhar: I wanted to play video and share its audio as well in meeting. Only tabs allow to share audio, not local apps like vlc. So i could play video in browser and share the tab to present video and audio both, but it lacked basic functions like forward etc. This app really helped me to present video and audio.

It would also be nice to have the ability to change the built-in shortcuts. And a shortcut "?" to display the shortcuts in a modal over the screen like SurfingKeys and Vimium. When you're getting started with an app it makes it a lot easier than having to load a separate page

I mean, this player (for me) is better then many of Microsoft's built in media players that were developed by a team of people. Re. the app, this is a great light weight player that does exactly what it says it does Pros. - playback is flawless, even when skipping around a lot in a video, - brainlessly simple to use - ability to load video using drag and drop and/or clicking a folder icon the player to "browse for file" - tons of keyboard shortcuts that actually make sense! i.e space bar for pause/play and arrow keys to increase/decrease volume and/or current playback position in the video file - keyboard shortcuts for fast forwarding/rewinding incrementally in the video, ie skip ahead 5 seconds or move back in the track 5 seconds. This is a necessity when watching "c o r n" lol - even the ability to customize the amount time for each incremental jump, ie instead of skipping forward or back 5 seconds, you can change it go forward/back 1 second, etc. Nice! - you can even take a screenshot of any frame of the video by simply pressing the screenshot button (or oress Shift + S). Wow! Cons: None so far Again, this is an awesome local file player and many thanks to the developer Mike

- (2022-12-07) Miguel Torres Sanchez: Funciona bien, aunque me gustaria que solo al abrir un archivo de video (En la carpeta de archivos de chromebook) automaticamente se abriera el video ya en la aplicacion y no tener que abrir la aplicacion para luego buscar el archivo y abrirlo, pero aun asi me gusto la aplicacion y funciono para lo que la queria usar, que era reprodicir los videos guardados de forma local en mi computadora ya que el reproductor que tiene ya por defecto al parar el video invade gran parte de la pantalla al leer los subtitulos (Que estan en la parte baja de la pantalla), bueno dicho esto, muy buena aplicacion y la recomiendo bastante.

Olá, A transmissão do video está perfeita, mas a extensão não está reproduzindo o audio. Estou usando em um Macbook Air M1 com macOS Monterey 12.3.1. Alguma forma de resolver?
