Support your favorite Twitch streamers by automatically lurking in their stream when they go live.
Twitch Lurker allows you to build a list of favorites based on who you follow and open up muted tabs of their stream as soon as they go live.
IMPORTANT: You must have tabs already open with the Twitch player running in order for you to count as a viewer in their viewer count. If the extension loads a new tab with a stream, it won't count you as a viewer until you open the tab and load the player yourself.

How to use the extension:
1) Download/Install from the store or sideload it in your browser
2) Login with OAuth so we can pull your follow list (don't worry, we don't collect any of your info)
3) Click the stars next to channels in your following list to mark them as Favorites
4) Order your Favorites list to your liking (the higher in the list, the higher their priority over other Favorites)
5) Open two tabs with live streams
6) You are now supporting your favorite content creators and gaining free channel points!

However it's a shame that Twitch is auto-muting new tabs automatically, effectively pausing any second automatically opened stream tab since any muted twitch tabs in the background will auto-pause... I wish the extension could disable this auto-mute so that the stream would not pause. Thanks! Ok, I think I finally got the hang of it. I wanted to give it a 4.5 just to encourage further improvement . It is working both on Chrome and Edge browser but it can be a little buggy. But It appears to be getting better as I try it. The only part that I don't know whether is working or not is the "open tab in background" function. It does open tabs in the background but they stay completely blank and appear not to load so I presume that it doesn't result in a lurk (not sure though). If you don't select that option however, it automatically opens your favorited streamer's tabs automatically. Other than that, sometimes the tabs don't open well, but I'm not sure this is down to the extension or the browser itself. I like this extension very much. 4.5 out of 5. edit: Thank you very much for your answer Michael! The only suggestion I would have at this point would be the increase the "max streams at once" from 5 to a greater value, like 10, for instance. I think the extension deserves a 5 rating. :) Thank you very much. Edit 2: Regarding the concurrent streams. I understand. Just trying to help out my favorite streamers. Thanks once again! - (2023-07-18) 저장용: If the streamer sets a local nickname (for example, a Korean nickname) in addition to the ID, the nickname is entered in the address bar and cannot be moved to that channel. Could you please improve it for non-English speaking countries? It's such an attractive extension! Thank you.

- (2022-09-08) trigirl48: Does what it says which is great, but if I, for example, have 3 tabs open & close 1 because I'm just not feeling that stream, the extension will reopen the tab after a few minutes. It then becomes a fight to keep the tab closed.

Hi! How are you? I would suggest if possible to add a field to send a custom message in the twitch chat of the lurker streamers at a custom time interval as well.
