Sofia 2026-09-10: Extension doesn't work anymore and whenever I try and log into the website it just spins and spins and never logs me in. It's gotten worse. Prior to this I would have to attempt to login multiple times before it would at some point after several attempts finally log me in. Doesn't work anymore
Scott 2026-09-10: Good in theory but the extension rarely works and I am most often having to log in to lastpass site to get the passwords, which is defeating the purpose. Alternatively it will autofill old or duplicate passwords and sometimes lock me out of accounts.
Thad 2026-09-04: Had an issue with copy/paste icons not working in LastPass extension dropdown site listing. If things are not working well, check all Advanced Settings in browser LastPass extension settings, as well as the Advanced Settings online at lastpass.com for your Vault and Account. UPDATE: Fixed after customer support. In extension settings, had to enable "Clear clipboard after this many seconds" Works great now! 4 stars
Xiola 2026-09-02: The application never opens or connects anymore, this locks me out of sites and prevents me from working. The lastpass will suggest a complicated password, and when i accept and try to update it will not save the new password. Sometimes it will get stuck in a sign in loop. It constantly locks me out and causes issues.
Andy 2026-08-31: Performance gets worse and worse. Doesn't actually connect (stays grayed out) for up to 3-4 minutes after opening browser and then even afterwards, doesn't fill in passwords.
Thad 2026-08-29: You can no longer use the Copy/Paste icon on your site listing to Copy Password. It not longer moves to the clipboard to paste onto a site or input box. Broken for over 1 year now.

Daniel 2026-08-24: Every once in a while will completely stop working for no apparent reason, even when working earlier the same day. Rebooting doesn't do anything, the only fix seems to be uninstalling and re-installing. It is the most frustrating damn thing.
Diana 2026-08-23: I had beeen using LastPass for years, but now it is impossible to get into it! I am using Microsoft Edge, and it worked until a short time ago. Now I can not log in at all. It us beyond frustrating. I filed with Support, and next thing I know that case is closed. It is like they genuinely do not care about us! Why should I pay again when I can not use it. It is not worth it now.
Louis 2026-08-23: There are plenty of recent reviews that detail all the failings of the newer updates of this extension, so I won't reiterate them. I have a premium subscription, but this extension has become so bad that I won't be renewing it. I have been using LastPass for many years, it is a shame the extension has become so unreliable.
Robert 2026-08-21: Have both a personal and professional LastPass accounts for 5+ years. This tool is essential for my online existence, but it's increasingly unreliable this year. Frequently and regularly unable to log in generally because of MFA issues.

Richard 2026-08-18: It was good a few years ago, but now the same problems are never fixed permanently. The automatic logout, clearing the clipboard of your passwords, the autofill. It has become unusable.
Malek 2026-08-17: I've been using LastPass for the past few years, but it's become increasingly frustrating to the point where it's nearly unusable with the Edge browser. I've tried clearing cache and cookies, uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times, but it's just not worth the hassle anymore. I'm definitely planning to switch to something more reliable. Saving a few dollars isn't worth the frustration and wasted time.
Steve 2026-08-17: Extension frequently fails to launch. Autofill is very inconsistent and will fill fields that it shouldn't which is especially dangerous when completing UI configs.
Michael 2026-08-15: LastPass Extension Version 4.155.0 is terrible. Even though you may have the auto-fill username/password enabled, once you sign into a some sites, it tries typing in your email or password into many/any text field. It's beyond bad. And if you go into the site's settings in Lastpass, and turn off the autofill, it conintues to throw text into any and all text box it finds, expect now it puts in "n/a". I've disabled the LastPass extension, and confirmed this behavior goes away. Reenable the LastPass and the problem returns. This is beyond bad. It could be inserting your password into various fields, and who knows it may even try to submit it. That is dangerous - what if it puts it into some social media comment box, and then there is your comment with your password for the world to see. What are you thinking LastPass!!!!!!!!!
Kurt 2026-08-12: I don't know what happened recently but I agree with the other reviewers. I used to rely on this and it just worked. Now it won't load and won't run. Deeply, deeply frustrated!
Bill 2026-08-10: My company requires us to use LastPass and has disabled the ability to save passwords in the browser. Unfortunately, this has become a major issue because the LastPass extension is unreliable. It frequently fails to log in, freezes unexpectedly, and prevents me from accessing websites when I need them. Looking through the reviews, it appears many other users are experiencing the same problem. LastPass really needs to address these ongoing login and stability issues, as they seem to be affecting a large number of customers.
Wendy 2026-08-09: I have used LastPass for YEARS, however, as of the past month or so, it has become unusable with the Edge browser. I try to reload pages to get the extension to work to no avail, I disable and re-enable the extension to no avail. This is VERY VERY frustrating!!
Kevin 2026-08-09: I'm a long time user and continue to get frustrated with this extension. It continues to stop working, won't let me log on without a reinstall. It's been a productivity killer in that it takes so long to get it to work every time I turn on my computer and need it.
Robert 2026-08-03: Updated 8/3/2026 - Nothing has changed. Still a vib coded app that 90% has issues. Avoid this app with all your soul. This app's issues with browsers has never been fixed as long as I've owned the app. I've always had issues with it staying connected to the servers in order to use it. I can say that most of the functionality of this app has been taken over by the browser/OS. Unless they fix the issues with the program connecting, I don't see a way past 2 stars for them.

Teale 2026-07-21: not sure whos bright idea it was to make lastpass auto logout, and then when you click the icon for the extension it does nothing. how tf am i supposed to log in to get credentials. seems the only way is i have to go to a page with a login and click the icon on the login form to get it to go somewhere that i can login to lastpass. enshittification is real and this is 100% enshittification.
Pavel 2026-07-16: LastPass hijacks passkey creation and blocks the browser’s built-in prompt. There is no option to disable this without turning off the entire extension. Unacceptable behavior.
Geoffrey 2026-07-07: When it works, it's great. But lately I have to remove and re-add it to Edge frequently. I wish LastPass would figure out why it stops functioning and FIX IT!

Lance 2026-06-25: Great when it works. Every so often, maybe once per month or so, I have to completely remove it, reinstall it, and sign in again in order to keep it working. When it quits working, you click on the icon to open your vault and it just hangs. I wish it was working better. In fact, it's frustrating enough that I started considering switching password managers. :(
Kriz 2026-06-23: When it works it works, but the app becomes non-responsive after I lock or put the computer to sleep. Then I have to either restart the computer or completely remove and reinstall the extension.
Dominick 2026-06-18: The most convenient\inconvenient password app. I find that the security settings are aggressively high, almost to a point that convenience is overburdened security. It signs you out after 30 days on each PC browser, iPhone, iPad, then laptop browser, then you are rotated out again on your PC. Such, disappointing behavior. It overwrites your passwords with one-time SMS\email codes, so be careful. Well, it is something I need live with to keep a secure life with uniquely strong passwords in a safe place. I wish I could give it a lower rating, but it is truly a good tool. But it is not for someone that wants a hands-free experience. Be prepared to learn how to use this thing for YOUR benefit. I am still learning after many years. NOTE: this is MUCH better and SAFER than saving your passwords in docs\notes\contacts. For first time users: you really have to give this tool a good chance and don't give up. Every app and browser what to be your password saver. Choose this one.
Eino 2026-06-17: The User Experience (UX) is so bad that the parody horizon has been pierced trivially easily. I tried to get one (1) password today from my account. I had to log into 4-5 different websites + try to install 2 different extensions + fight with buggy pop-ups, and ironically LastPass was fighting itself by trying to insert an old password into itself, whilst not giving me even a Password-field where I could input the right password. 10 (infuriating) minutes wasted. Whoever is in charge of the UX: please get sober.

Chris 2026-06-03: I was surprised when I saw the rating for this extension. I too have used this for free for at least 15 years, and it was much harder to use years ago than it is now. A problem I notice now is that if passwords are duplicated in various browsers, they start to trip over each other. Understanding that this is a ME problem, I adjusted my preferences accordingly. LastPass was my oldest password storage, so it made sense to go in and adjust misfiled information. It really helps a lot to use the app the way it was intended, but I admit over that same period of time, clear, fast instructions seem to be harder to find. When I finally fix things, I admit to myself maybe I should have done this sooner! I make sure I have the latest updates to browsers and apps, etc. I have to admit, however, that I do not know how a working person can keep up with this stuff. I'm retired now, so if some 5-minute thing takes two hours as they are wont to do, I only risk annoyance.
Robin 2026-05-07: Plug in works for - AT MOST - one day before I have to uninstall/reinstall in order to log in. This is more trouble than it's worth.

Dealed with some challenges, accounts forgotten, recovery emails that were never delivered, the necessity of create aliases for my users. Now I'm dealing with the last: Plugin is getting frozen. Cannot load or save my credentials and its frustrating.
Kronschnabl, 2026-04-19: I've used LastPass for around 20 years, but I'm increasingly frustrated by the plugin not working when I need it. It won't stay logged in and won't launch apps. The only thing I've been able to do is uninstall the plugin and reinstall. It will then work for a week or two, then stop again.
Mike 2026-04-19: Works for me FULLY. Today is 4/19/26 and I have literally no issues because I took the time to set it up. 3-star rating after thinking about this because tripling the cost within 2 years of purchasing the full version is inexcusable considering there are others who charge less with more features. LastPass added none, just price. Considering exporting database and using another Password Management extension given more features there and built into my AV program. Also, there are simply too many similar posts here though seemingly meant to deter you. One doesn't need forensic syllabic analysis or structural pattern/grammatical synch matching to reveal their suspicious origin. Thanks for reading my updated post. Expect others to post low and negative posts to follow over the next few days to negate my post. When you read reviews anywhere, note the sentence structure and manner in which it's posted "as of" now I do.
Paul 2026-04-18: As of 2026-04-17 still appears to be broken in Edge; won't autofill and drop-down box is a tiny white window. Can manually search Lastpass and copy/paste, but that's annoying.

Mike 2026-04-16: It's broken ... but is theirs the paid version or not? When you log out of a website use the site's logoff/logout button, works for me every time. It does not automatically login when I start Edge which is perfect because I don't want it automatically logged - I'd rather that be a conscious and deliberate action. Works with every Chrome based browser I use *even* Brave. Never stalls out for me but I'm going to divulge, I tweak the snot out of my setup. Some sites auto login and auto send the password but those are MY choice. It does exactly what it's supposed to in its own manner assuming you take the time to set it up properly (which gets old quickly). I don't care for it went from $12 a year to $36 in two years' time after I got it; oh, I use the fully paid for and registered version if that makes a performance difference. Used Keepsafe in the past and still do for some things. It's all in how you handle it I guess, or maybe not but it works for me. Thanks for reading my post.
Adam 2026-04-15: Extension no longer works in MS Edge or Chrome. Logins will populate but passwords do not, nor can you open up the extension to view, as other users have stated, it stalls out with a white box. Reviewed on 4/15/2026

Lois 2026-03-27: I have used this extension on all my devices for most of a decade, but am about to delete it for one reason - This supposed security add-on does NOT log out when all Edge windows closed no matter how many times that option is selected. This makes the app absolutely useless and a security threat, not an asset. So anyone who obtain access to my devices does not have to log in or use a biometic login. All they have to do is open Edge browser and they have access to every password I've ever used. Deleting and moving all passwords to Nord.
