Web-page TTS (text to speech) screen reader, that does not require cutting and pasting sentences or entire page sections.
Pericles benefits people with disabilities, eye fatigue or those who want to increase their productivity. It helps you read the news, scientific articles, and many other text resources.
Built with a varied range of voices for Mac, and a bit more limited for Windows, the app is free. So, enjoy your meal or do your chores while Pericles does the reading.

- (2023-12-15) Karen: Loads of voice options; all that I tried sounded natural. Read smoothly and got me through a text-only module. I've not tried uploading anything as there are more than enough voice options for me.
- (2022-09-21) Wilkes,: works just okay when it works. won't let me upload most pdfs (no idea what makes some work and others not) and interrupts sentences to read page numbers and headers. As a student I would absolutely not recommend this for academic reading.
- (2022-02-22) Anthony: Will quickly get out of sync and jumps all over the page. This app does not work as intended.
- (2021-08-19) Sasha: I went to the website and it just gives me an error when I press play. Nothing happens. Removing.
- (2021-04-24) Cubanitto: The extension does not read what is highlighted on the web site. After I click on the "Read from here" menu option the extension reads text from somewhere else on the web site.
- (2021-04-07) A: Can you please please make highlight words more than just sentence? I beg you!
