(2023-11-16) Chris: Using the extension in standalone mode on my mac because WSA is useless on MacOS. Despite the keycode being registered with my carbonite/webroot account, the extension sends a notification dozens of times per day asking me to create an account. There is no way to disable notifications from the extension, and the notification itself isn't actionable (e.g. you can't click on it to load the place to even register). It's insanely annoying and support doesn't care that it is doing this.
(2023-06-08) Gordon: Have used Webroot for everything virus/malware related for going on 8 years. No complaints until this past year when the WR extension for Edge stops working due to corruption and can neither be repaired nor removed. The only way to deal with it is to contact WR support if you're a customer or use Revo Uninstaller Pro's Browser Extension removal tool if you're not. The extension works seamlessly in the background in both Firefox and Google Chrome. But it's not even a 1 star in Edge.

Now I'm being blocked from sites that Google Services wants to refer me to (even an AMAZON sponsor link!) just because Mama Webroot says no.

It is bad software and I can't understand how or why Microsoft allows it to be here, available, when you CAN'T REMOVE IT! My Edge browser is now hopelessly infected with this thing. (2021-10-27) Keshawn: ANYONE THAT NEEEDS IT, FOUND THE ANSWER FINALLY! If you deleted it already re-install the Webroot SecureAnywhere app. Click Advanced Settings, and go to Access Control. Click "Allow Uninstallation by non-administrative users." Save and then proceed to the app screen on Edge Add-ons. Click remove then delete the app.

(2021-10-13) Seth: As a 13 year veteran in information technology I not only feel comfortable deploying this Addon/Extension but I have personally seen it block malicious sites numerous time on users machines. Note that the sites in question were NOT caught by our firewall's paid security service. As with every computer program it has occasionally had issues. Overall though a solid recommendation .
