My Apps Secure Sign-in Extension
Description from store
This extension is required for both App Proxy link translation and application password-based single sign-on. It may also be optionally used to launch the My Apps portal to search the applications you have access to.
With this extension you can:
• Sign into password-based single sign-on applications- both directly from the application's login page and from the My Apps portal
• Access internal company URLs while remote
• Launch into the My Apps portal to search across the applications you have access to

- Used to be great being able to launch an app from the extension. Now it's virtually useless but it needs to be installed anyways to launch an app from the MyApps portal.

- Setting up Password-Based Enterprise Apps was terrible. We had about a 1% hit rate on if the extension could capture the sign-in fields.

- It has officially become just a bookmark. It's techinally violating it's own policies now as it's not responding to user input and not fully functional. So now you have to click the icon, then click "MyApps", then search for the app. Which is absolutely the same as just having a bookmark....although if the bookmark is on you toolbar, it would only be a single click, which would make a generic bookmark more helpful than a microsoft developed extension on a microsoft browser. I'm going to guess they abandoned this on April 16, 2024 since that's the last update. They are pushing for people to use myapps....but not investing in the user experience.

- Updating this. The best thing you can do is to install My Apps as an MS Edge app. It creates desktop and start menu shortcuts, and opens the page in a single app window. The only downside is there is no way to push this via a GPO or package yet. It requires each user to do it manually.

- April 2024 update has not fixed the search functionality. It seems this extension is now little more than a link to the My Apps portal. It would be great to see the search functionality (with search results showing in the extension drop-down menu) returned.

- Very disappointing extension. It is really just fancy looking URL shortcut. It does not show any apps, just a "button" which brings you to the myapplications website. The "search" is also just a URL shortcut but when you get redirected there, it pastes whatever you type into the search bar of the website. What a completely useless extension. I would expect much more from Micro$oft.

- Ever since an update occurred, I no longer have the search functionality in the extension itself to allow me to quick select apps from the extension. All the extension is now is a link to the Myapps page which just adds another step and is no different to bookmarking the myapps page.

- Confirmed, MyApps is completely broken and has lost its search and recent functionality. MS documentation confirms but functions should be available.

- This has been broken since an update in November. It would be helpful if breaking the core capabilities of the extension were communicated in advance. The extension is effectively useless without the ability to see and click on the recently used apps as well as redirecting search to the main myapps page makes it equivalent to the bookmark that is already on my browser.

- Utterly useless since they gutted the search function for it. Now it's just a pointless bookmark slapped in the same place as extensions. Our policy was to pre-install it for users. Now we're no longer enforcing that.

- To echo what others have said, Microsoft broke it. You cannot search for your apps nor can you add favorites. I have this deployed enterprise-wide and now may need to remove it unless it is fixed soon.

- Before the last update we pushed this extension to all of our enterprise users via group policy. Now, we are removing it. The most recent version is useless as they removed the most useful component...the shortcuts. I hope they fix this soon!

- We use this app enterprise wide. It was the most used app in our environment but as others mentioned, it is now useless. There is no support site that I can find and no update on the status. I wish I could find the older version to restore it or build my own at this point.

- How can this company break an extension used AROUND THE WORLD by enterprises and not fix it for over a month?!? I'll tell you how. I put in a ticket with Microsoft on this and not even the analyst was aware of the extension or its use! It is like Microsoft is a soulless human less apparatus that no one has control of or knows what it is doing.
