- Ich teste McAfee True Key vor der Kaufentscheidung für entweder: a) Verlängerung meines Norton 360 Abos b) Wechsel zu McAfee Bei Norton bin ich eigentlich nur unzufrieden mit dem Erkennungsgrad der Website oder Software in der ich mich befinde. Oft wird kein Login und Passwort angeboten, auch wenn alles während des Einrichten des Kontos von Norton erkannt und abgespeichert wurde. Aktuell richte ich in McAfee True Key einige Testeinträge ein, damit ich einen Export der Passworte und Notizen erstellen kann. Denn ohne diese Vorlage kann ich ggf. den Export von Norton nicht importieren, da es dafür keine Option gibt (LasPass etc. sind vorhanden). Weiterhin prüfe ich gerade, ob ich in der Wallet von McAfee ohne normale Girokontos auskomme. Es werden nur Kreditkarten angeboten. Somit kann ich meine Konten und deren IBANs, BICs und Swifts nicht speichern.

- After McAfee automatically renewed and updated, my Tru Key passwords stopped working, now when I try to access the program it tells me to go to McAfee and put in my password, Then I must remove and reinstall the program? BS!

- I bought the highest level of protection that McAfee offers. It was advertised as "password protection." That was not exactly accurate since they say "Sign in Once Sign in to True Key and we'll log you in everywhere else." True key does NOT log you in everywhere else. It logs you in to a very limited number of sites. Their advertising is false.

- Very inconsistent, does not open a lot of the times and I have had to remove and reinstall. I am in the process of migrating to something more reliable as I cannot trust that Truekey will open when I need it. Very frustrating.

- I'm disappointed with the app, because i don't unable delete registers using the edge extension, and the app, not exists a button for this. Anybody able this?

- can't sign in password's wrong, I haven't changed it! And you won't show what you've got. TO RESET you want what you refer to as my old password, WTF?

- The extension is still not working, and it is the only way to sign on to system. I have been having issues since June 2025 - refund all, let's all get a class action lawsuit going for refunds.

- I've recently started to experience the same issue as other reviewers - ie, no auto login and no access to True Key. However, I've found that deactivating the extension (via Manage Extensions) and reactivating it seems to solve the problem. Hope this helps until a proper fix can be found.

- I reset my master password multiple times. When I retype the password, it says invalid password. Customer service is useless.

- I have had trouble with true key for years. I would not recommend it. It was okay at first. Then it wouldn't work on Mozilla Firefox ... not secure enough. So I felt forced to use it with edge. It is almost useless if you are expecting streamline entry into site. The password may work initially, but any additional password request doesn't fill in and you have to copy and paste. At this point I have one device that will pull up TrueKey. I need to change the master password but am afraid I will be locked out totally. Not messing with it any more. I've spent hours trying to get it to work on cell and Pc. Without my password it is difficult to be productive for just one, small task. McAfee has deteriorated.

- I'm totally screwed with true key down! I have over 35 passwords for banks and credit cards and can't access them. Been with McAfee for years and if this isn't fixed immediately, I will be done with McAfee! I'm already looking for another program. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!

- I too find that I am not only missing McAfee True Key, but that I've become dependent and I can no longer get into MyChart to talk with medical professionals. I am a breast cancer patient so this is NOT IGOOD. I am also having trouble with energy, so fighting this problem isn't good either. - Thank you all for your reviews. I was trying to access true key. I thought it was just my computer that was having the issue with it all of a sudden not working. I hope there is a fix soon.

- I've had true key for three and a half years now. For some reason, starting last week, it stopped working. I see other people on here having the same problems. I called mcafee last night on the phone for over an hour with two different reps, technical support, supposedly. We're not able to. help me at all. He told me that it was Microsoft Edge's problem and not true key. I see on here others have had the same problem. Somebody please help. how di i get ahold of Microsoft to fix

- love the app and use it all the time but your microsoft update has screwed up how i access it. Now i cant just open the app in another tab and manage my passwords. why in the world when something works great for years do you constantly "update" it. i realize that todays corporations have the attitude "if it aint broke, lets fix it til it is" but how bout trying the opposite and leave it the F alone if it works!

- I don't like this key. It made problems reaching my important site at urgent times. Simply, it removed all my saved passwords without giving any notifications. It was made on by defaults after updating the software. I did not notice that and lost all my passwords. It happens each time I upgrade to the newest version or need more protection.

- Nightmare at times. I can't sign in yet again . seems there's no log in point on Chrome Google or Microsoft. My MacAfee say to set it up, already done that previously and then if you click on that it won't let you. Wasting so much time on this .

- It was a 5 star app until started to appear when you try to login "not connected to the internet" (even if you are) and after you try again the app logged normaly. If you use the app in the "offline mode" even if you are connected to the internet the app does not save your new passwords. Also, on the Edge browser you need to refresh the page when you will use first time on that specifically tab. If thoses bugs disappear, its a 5 star app.

- Update - 1/13/25: The extension does not work for me for more than 3 months on Edge. I have chcecked evertying to fix it but still no go. Someone noticed correctly why the Edge Extenion is not being updated? Seems that many usewrs have the same issues - "passwords" are not filling up. Support/Developers !!!! Please take some action !!! I have been using True Key for serveral years now and I am happy but if this will not work how can I be happy?

- TrueKey here on Microsoft hasn't been updated since May 12, 2022 (v4.3.1.9339). TrueKey on Firefox was updated yesterday (Jan 7, 2025) to v5.0.0.263. TrueKey on Chrome Webstore was updated Aug 23, 2024 (v5.0.0.227). Why are these so out of sync???

- My True Key has not been logging me into sites for over a month now. I have to uninstall it and then install it again everyday. Sometimes I have to do this twice in one day.

- I've had True Key for several years now and McAfee since 2000. I think it's time to make a change. Mc's services work about 75% of the time and have gone from, 15$ to 95$, which was billed last year. This year, 2025, McAfee wants to bill me $211.00 for the 2025 year. They also want to charge more for add-ons that should be included. As for True Key, it works as it should perhaps 50% of the time. TK really stinks. Every time McAfee updates its software, TK and other functions need to be manually tweaked, to get them to reasonably function as intended.
