Popup Blocker (strict) is a lightweight WebExtension to prevent websites from opening popups. The extension pauses all sorts of window opening requests for user attention. You can either accept or deny a request. Multiple unique requests are shown combined. If a website requests a single URL more than once, a badge number will be shown indicating the total number of requests to this particular URL.

123321 2023-10-20: didn’t work. 1.When I enable this plug-in on a website, after clicking any link on the website, I will only see a number appearing in the lower right corner of the plug-in icon and soaring to more than 100. And I cannot click on any link to jump normally. I hope the author can tell me how to solve it. 2.I still don't know how to set it up so that blocker is globally disabled, but protects this tab. When I unchecked the above options, the lower options also disappeared.

The 2023-02-26: I have been using this for a while now little over a year maybe longer. This was at the time the only one working for chrome. I now use edge and still works wonderfully. I don't know why others say it doesn't work they do not state details. I use a PC and works 100% with full custom features. There are pop-ups from the extensions UI that gives the user choices with what you want to do. That is the default setting. You can choose to white list & black list sites with-in the manager. I hope this helps.

Jennifer 2022-03-02: The ONLY thing this blocks is anything you're trying to open, such as links from your email or another page with shopping. As other reviewers said, it doesn't block ANY pop-ups. None. They're all still there, and this does nothing at all. Very annoying. Deleting.

It has stopped every type of pop-up that I've encountered; from pop-unders to new tabs and It's permission features are handy for white-listing certain sites. Overall a flawless Add-on!

nawaf 2020-05-27: had to give this one a review because no one does it. i can describe this as the best way to block adds while supporting your favorite website because it only block pop ups and website will not send you a warning to turn it off. you can still see ads but the ads will not force you to see them
