  • (2025-01-02) Ian: Recently added a "Fill" button on the sign in log in drop down in the extension. This is a bad addition to the extension.
  • (2025-01-01) Luke: I love bitwarden. I use it for everything. I'm not a big fan of the new look. Could have made a "theme" option like outlooks old and new looks. Also, there are some moments when I'm using it that it is buggy when it used to be just fine. EDIT: You can download the older version of their extension from GitHub, I am using "Browser v2024.11.2" for edge.
  • (2024-12-27) Charlie: Edit: The latest version of the extension seems to have solved a lot of issues I originally had with the UI revamp. Bitwarden responded to my review with instructions to go to "Settings > Appearance" to restore the old shortcut buttons that quickly copy the username/password to the clipboard. Overall, the extension is working great. My only other suggestions would be to increase the size of the fill/copy buttons, they're still a bit small (whether or not "Compact Mode" is enabled). And make the CC info more readily accessible. Original review: The new UI may look nicer, but changing around and removing some of the buttons results in doing more clicks to access fundamental functions (copy username, password, the new Fill button is extremely tiny).
  • (2024-12-26) Mike: I have used Bitwarden for years and have always loved it. But until they fix their recent UI updates, they get 1 star. Overall, I don't care about most of the changes. But making me now click a tiny "fill" button in order to use the primary feature of the extension is killing me! And the option to copy one-time password codes was removed too! Was there no usability testing done at all???
  • (2024-12-25) 明杰: Edge页面缩放必须设置100%,否则扩展页面就显示不全。 Edge page zoom must be set to 100%, otherwise the extended page will not be fully displayed
  • (2024-12-24) Evan: Bitwarden has been my favorite password manager for a long time. It's recent UI/UX update has given it a differnt look and feel, but I have no problems using it. If updating the UI makes it easier for developers to maintain and grow the product, then I definitely support the decision. Like I said, I've been using Bitwarden for years and it's been fantastic all of the way. Highly recommend this extention to anyone.
  • (2024-12-23) Trent: Wow, I thought people were just complaining to complain when I saw all these UI-panning reviews but the new version finally rolled to me and I get it now. The big, clunky UI now covers up too much webpage space, and it takes forever to load. Unusable. I see the Bitwarden team keeps copy+pasting "Please make sure you are on version 2024.12.2 or above and check Settings > Appearance for options to restore previous layouts..." in on these and I'll head that off by saying I DO have 2024.12.2, the "Appearance" settings DON'T have an option to revert to the old UI, and the new version does in fact suck a lot. It's slow, introduces extra steps, and harder to use. Thanks for breaking what worked with stuff nobody asked for. After seeing Bitwarden's lack of response to these issues I have to rate this 1 star, and I have also installed the last good working version of the extension (2024.11.2) from the github site. This is unacceptable for an app I'm paying for. They need to fully revert.
  • (2024-12-23) Steven: Another complaint about recent UI changes that were not well thought out and make it more difficult to fill passwords using the Edge extension. Should be able to lick on the site name to autofill the current site, not view the card. 99 out of 100 times I want to fill not view. Hunting and pecking for a pea sized fill button is not productive. It's not clear what they want this product to be, I just want a secure password manager that makes it easy to fill passwords.
  • (2024-12-22) Charlie: The new UI may look nicer, but changing around and removing some of the buttons results in doing more clicks to access fundamental functions (copy username, password, the new Fill button is extremely tiny). Edit: following Bitwarden's response, I was able to restore some of the UX from before the revamp, which is great! However I'm now observing that the "Fill" button doesn't seem to work on many (any?) websites.
  • (2024-12-20) Triff: Edit: The BW made an update on Dec 16 to 2024.12.1 and advise me to go to `Settings > Appearance` to restore some of the old behavior. Idk if you can see their response. Any how, I'm increasing the stars to 4, bc finding CC's and other things is harder now than before. I'm glad they fixed that tho. I'm can still call myself a happy premium customer of BW and keep recommending it to friends. First Post: I join myself to the sentiment of many others here. The new UI may look nicer, but changing around and removing some of the buttons results in doing more clicks to access fundamental functions (copy username, password, or OTP).
  • (2024-12-20) Andrew: Loved it in the past, but new UI is horrible, and I'm constantly clicking the wrong thing now. Seems slower too.
  • (2024-12-20) Derek: I've been a customer of Bitwarden's for years. I've gotten at least a dozen people to start using it, too. But this new UI is so frustrating. None of us dozens of people like it. Constructive feedback: Everything feels blurry and too soft, can you crisp it up? The buttons on the cards are too small, can you make them larger? The mix of soft and hard outlines is harsh when colors are so muted, can you make them consistent? Please bring back auto fill cards on the front page by default -- it was SO useful. I use 5 computers and 3 browsers each -- part of job -- I hate changing prefs on each... so I'm suggesting these things as defaults, not themes or knobs that need tweaked.
  • (2024-12-19) Mark: I've used this app for years. Since the beginning. The new design is so monumentally bad it's difficult to put into words. Who was asking for an update like this? They removed features (but reverted some changes in version 2024.12.1 - but hidden away in the settings) and the extension is so SLOW. When I open the extension, I don't need to load the entire vault! I can't help but think this mismanagement could be a deeper reflection of the company itself.
  • (2024-12-19) Austin: Bitwarden is a necessary tool for me. I appreciate the look and feel of the new design. 10/10
  • (2024-12-19) David: UGH - I love BW and recommend it whenever possible, but the new UI is a huge productivity downgrade. Now you have to click the small "Fill" button instead of the entire record row to perform a fill. Credit Cards are no longer visible on the tab without toggling the "Type" filter, which you then need to toggle back to Login (or de-select which is really just Login fields). Visually it's no cleaner and the usability took a big hit. Still looking for any positive change. Please change the plugin back!
  • (2024-12-19) Jimmy: Good password manager but the new UI design is super unproductive. The old gestures now do different behaviors, so it's very unintuitive for existing users. And the new behaviors aren't what I want to do anyway.
  • (2024-12-18) Brent: The extension was great but the new UI at the end of 2024 is a massive downgrade. Everything is more clicks than it was or should be.
  • (2024-12-18) 老王: Poor new version, I encountered no display issue after logging in, and even couldn't open it. How to roll back to the previous version
  • (2024-12-17) Brian: December 2024 UI is extremely annoying. 1) the new UX is terrible. period 2) moreover, the new UX is so completely different that all existing users are essentially forced to learn a completely new tool. keep looking for something else, I will be now.
  • (2024-12-17) Brandon: I don't like the new redesigned interface for this extension. Bring back the old interface. Now to copy passwords I have to click into the item instead of just clicking the copy button for the password after searching for an item.
  • (2024-12-17) Michael: I've never reviewed a plugin before but this new BW is awful. The fill option is tiny now and you now show me username/pwds for all sites at once? This removed the security feature of "if the login isn't showing up, you might be on a fake domain". Please revert this. The old design was just fine the way it was. This is useless and also terribly ugly.
  • (2024-12-17) Jim: Second Edit: Somehow it has once again reverted to the shtty new UI - for a little while I was happy, now I am once again starting the export to get moved out. ----- Edit: On at least one of my PC's this is no reverted to the old, usable, extension. On at least one of my work PC's it currently still has the new UI. Both say they are on the 2024.12.1 version and the work machine does not have an option to choose anything else. Adding back a couple of stars for the effort. ___ ___ Original post: ---- This new 'update' is utterly useless! Autofill is not working, and it takes 2-3 clicks to do what a single click used to do. It's actually less visually appealing than before, and doesn't work at all. Whoever was in charge of this change needs to be fired, there is no way it passed any reasonable testing requirements. I have been recommending BW for ages, and now.. nope, can't do it. Roll it back! I know there had to be a backout plan right? Hopefully it's better than the Testing plan!
  • (2024-12-17) Sam: I was a big fan of the simple, functional, previous UI. Unfortunately, yet another app trying to modernize that just adds visual bloat and removes efficient functionality in the name of polish. Edit: To respond to Bitwarden's reply to my review, there is no option to revert to the previous UI in settings on the latest update. I'm not sure why someone responded telling me to look there. This seems to entirely miss the reason many people are dissatisfied with this update.
  • (2024-12-17) Tim: I do not like the version: 2024.12.1. It is a visually and usability nightmare. 5 stars because it's Bitwarden, but minus 4 stars because of the poor user experience.
  • (2024-12-17) Jim: Browser plugin update 2024.12.1 is horrible. Clicking on the entry had auto-filled but now you need to use a tiny button to do the same thing. Bitwarden itself I like but this is frustrating and almost unusable. Bring back original or offer an option to keep old UI.
  • (2024-12-17) David: Update: They reverted the UI back to what it was. Much better. Original Review: Look How They Massacred My Boy
  • (2024-12-17) Michael: bring back the old ui. who did this :( -- updated they brought back the old ui
  • (2024-12-16) Shane: UI redesign replaced the 'click to fill' with a tiny "Fill" button. The hell where you guys thinking?
  • (2024-12-16) Luke: I love bitwarden. I use it for everything. I'm not a big fan of the new look. Could have made a "theme" option like outlooks old and new looks. Also, there are some moments when I'm using it that it is buggy when it used to be just fine.
  • (2024-12-16) Brad: UI Refresh is not good. Autofill no longer works, basic functionality is missing. Would like to go back to old version
  • (2024-12-15) Bill: I really dont like the new password/username drop down, this adds an extra click just to minimize the layout to one button. Bring the other button back or make the default click as password!
  • (2024-12-15) Blaok: The new UI is awful: It makes it very hard to click autofill and it's impossible to set UI locale.
  • (2024-12-15) Zixi: Unbearable new UI
  • (2024-12-15) Ted: Love Bitwarden, love the UI refresh, works like a dream. Thanks for the great product!
  • (2024-12-14) Jarrad: I love your product, but the new extension UI upgrade is a downgrade in user experience. When you click on an autofill suggestion in the extension, it should autofill browser form fields by default, instead it takes you to the edit key screen unless you click the tiny fill button. I know the "Fill" button is there, but this is a bad UI experience. I always wind up on the edit screen by accident because clicking on the "AUTOFILL" suggestion takes you to the edit screen instead of auto-filling. 99% of the time we want the click action to autofill, not open the Edit screen. Please change it back so that if you click on an autofill suggestion it fills the form fields in the browser. Please change the fix button to an Edit button or even better just remove it entirely. A pencil icon next to the copy icon would be ideal. You've got this Bitwarden, you can give us a good UI experience! I have faith in you!
  • (2024-12-14) Bob: The update surprised me, but I like it!
  • (2024-12-14) Jim: This new 'update' is utterly useless! Autofill is not working, and it takes 2-3 clicks to do what a single click used to do. It's actually less visually appealing than before, and doesn't work at all. Whoever was in charge of this change needs to be fired, there is no way it passed any reasonable testing requirements. • (2024-12-13) jesse.wright: My life revolves around this tool. Great service. Please bring back the easy copy buttons from the main screen. Username, Password, TOTP single click copy from the main list.
  • (2024-12-13) Triff: I join myself to the sentiment of many others here. The new UI may look nicer, but changing around and removing some of the buttons results in doing more clicks to access fundamental functions (copy username, password, or OTP).
  • (2024-12-13) Charlie: The new UI may look nicer, but changing around and removing some of the buttons results in doing more clicks to access fundamental functions (copy username, password, the new Fill button is extremely tiny).
  • (2024-12-13) David: Look How They Massacred My Boy
  • (2024-12-13) Michael: bring back the old ui. who did this :(
  • (2024-12-13) Scott: New UI is not the best in my opinion...more clicks is less efficient. If anything, there should be an option to use a "classic" interface.
  • (2024-12-13) Shane: New version is pretty bad. The UI is much worse and ease of use has gone down. The whole addon is far slower in every aspect. Wish I could roll it back and disable updates because there was nothing wrong with it before.
  • (2024-12-13) Perry: The new UI update misses the mark. Overall, it's a more pleasant look, but removing the 'copy password' button was not the correct design decision.
  • (2024-12-13) Rudy: I'm a long time user and lover of Bitwarden. I have one note on the new UI. It looks nice but I don't like that you made it take an extra click to get to the password. The copy username and password used to be separate buttons but now you have to click the copy then click username or password. Other than that, everything is great.
  • (2024-11-26) Theresa: If I could give a zero, I would. I just downloaded this program & I'm struggling with it. First off, I'm having to manually add all of my items and passwords. For some reason it won't upload my existing file. I am so frustrated! Where is the HELP button?
  • (2024-11-21) Kendall: one star because I have to add logins manually most of the time because there is no prompt to save a new login that was just used.
  • (2024-11-19) Michael: Absolutely amazing. I only have the free version at the moment but it's the best password manager that I've seen. I'm close to going for the premium version just for the extra perks and to help out the devs for making something so essential for surfing the web. Honestly it should charge for half of what it offers for free. Easy to use and the settings give you ultimate control of how its integrated.
  • (2024-11-12) 人生: 为什么越来越垃圾,无发自动保存登录账户密码,我发现很多人遇到这个问题,官方这么废物吗,为什么不修复更新!
