• (2025-08-20) Jay: Great product. Everything I used to use for downloads has been crushed by corpo-rat, browser updates, suspected spam and malware. I've downloaded a hundred different extensions over the years. This is the only one that works today. It was suggested as malware to block my use. I overrode the suggestion. I wait the two hours to use the free version. So many re-uploads on YouTube are such a nuisance, I understand why downloading is not allowed. This octogenarian, likes to be able to rewind the downloads a minute or two to listen to the misunderstood words again, to hear that beautiful song again, without having to find it is no longer available; or OMG my "Internet has gone down".
• (2025-08-18) Phillip: Has been a great product until the latest version. They did away with the helper app, losing the ability to choose a download location. (Have to use the browser default). Also missing is the ability to choose the download quality, change encoding and more. My perpetual license has lost value. The dev stated that he was tired of maintaining two pieces of work. BUT, this is what I PAID for, and now I have less. Hoping this improves in another release.

It keeps giving me an error message saying that the website isn't supported even though it is. I'm really hoping that they fix these issues because I used to really love this add-on.

I would give this a five-star review, but there has been a few times where when I try to download a video, especially from YouTube, and it says it was unable to download. That's a bummer sometimes, but usually when I go back to it later, it downloads the video just fine. I still highly recommend it, as nothing else I've gotten or tried has ever worked this well!
• (2025-07-08) Q: Doesn't recognize a Vimeo video that is playing, and when I used the force detection "feature", I was asked to download a "companion application". I don't like that but OK, I want it to work. Well, the companion is from an untrusted, outside, non-verified publisher. I don't think so....
• (2025-07-07) John: Easy to use and it works as expected at least 90% of the time. It would be 5 star except I've had a few issues where I was unable to download from sites I hadn't had issues with previously. Shutting down and relaunching Edge did not correct the issue, a complete restart was required. That being said, I would still recommend.

• (2025-06-29) Jim: None Better!! If you download YouTube Videos (and from anywhere else) there is no better download app!! You must be careful as to which browser you use. My license if for EDGE only. To use with another browser, you must purchase a an additional license. Also I occasionally encounter YouTube Videos that do not show up in the Video DownloadHelper. Just click on the circle with arrows and 90% of the time the Video you are wanting to Download will show up with the highest Quality Available!
