(2025-01-29) Benyam: UPDATE on the extension "NOT" working. Although it doesn't work with YouTube, all you really need is the video URL. copy it, then paste it somewhere where you can view the video without being on the YouTube page. for example, i use discord. make a server, paste the video link, click play, and the extension will work perfectly fine. i know it's a bit of a hassle but it's better than wasting money.

(2025-01-28) Kathy: This app was working great until January 24th, 2025. When it was updated. Also, windows had a new update as well, but it does not work anymore and will not download any videos on Microsoft edge. The beta version works on Firefox. but my key that I paid for will not work on Firefox browser. So I've just lost the money that I paid to be able to use this app unless they roll out a fix. Hopefully, they will honor all the money that people have paid in the past and provide an updated version that works.

(2025-01-25) John: I have the same problem as the other two recent reviewers. It seems that Youtube is one step ahead of these guys, and has managed to prevent this thing from downloading new Youtube videos. I can rationalize that easily enough, given that Youtube wants subscription money to download videos. While it was working though, it worked pretty good, except for a select handful of Youtube videos that had Vietnamese titles. It's sad that I paid for a lifetime license to use this DownloadHelper, but it no longer works. By the way, I also tried to install that companion app, hoping that would fix the problem, but it did not. Maybe I was naive to think that the money I paid for a license would grant me lifetime youtube downloads. (I use Edge)
