(2024-02-10) John: AVG is good compared to McAfee. The problem with McAfee is that its virus remover doesn't work well and it keeps sending notifications one after another. The solution is to uninstall it and then delete all of its notifications one at a time before going to Windows Defender or AVG or any other antivirus program as more than one will not work at a time. I agree that McAfee is not all cracked up to be and do what it is supposed to do. My laptop is brand new and McAfee messed things up royally so I called my son and he told me what to do. Now with Windows Defender I am a happy camper. I have used AVG for many years and it does just as good by itself without any other antivirus installed.

(2023-08-11) M: It won't get rid of this McAfee pop up in all the browsers that I paid for this free **** *** virus software remover, malware remover etc. It is garbage so far. It doesn't really do anything to get rid of the problem. It just closes the URL / web page but leaves the popup windows (yes MULTIPLE POPUP WINDOWS) there's one now. McAfee. I refuse to buy from the company infecting my computer. This should be a class action lawsuit. this is ********. THESE FU*&^^rs have ruined pc computing and mobile computing. I would shove a wood splinter up under every nail they have then kick em in the balls 20 times. This is ********. AVG, McAfee. can suck it. And Windows Defender...that is some worthless steaming pile of **** too. They say they've detected all these viruses and trojans and all sorts of infected registry keys and on and on and on but they don't fix anything yet. My pc is doing the same **** I paid good money for these so called virus scanners and fixxers are supposed to have fixed. I ha

(2022-10-30) Leslie: i've been using these guys' products on all my PCs and smartphones for over 20 years now. they kick ***! :D i've NEVER gotten a virii, ransomware, worm, or any other 'bug' infecting any of my electronics with AVG antivirus running and scanning frequently. one thing though, their programs? are damn hyper aware! so, if you do want to surf 'sketchy sites' like i do... for TV shows or movies etc. on the 'grey web'... you will have to learn how to tell AVG... "Calm down bubba, these are 'the good guys'... don't jump to conclusions and block this." i've got the Edge extension for AVG running but i don't use it all that much... it is just there to keep me and my electronics safe.
(2022-04-21) Thomas: Ich nutze seid dem 06.März dieses Jahr 2022 bin so einigermaßen zufrieden mit AVG Antivirus und Tune Up. Muss sehen ob er weiterhin das macht was er oder beide sollen. Habe AVG Antivirus und Tune UP erst mal für Ein Jahr genommen.
