- (2025-07-27) Gregory: When the Password manager works it is a great way to help keep things in order like your passwords. But when this app doesn't work it can really screw you up. I use the phone log in app. So when you want to log into your vault. All you have to do is click log in and it will send a request to your phone and ask you to log in to your app and approve the log in attempt. When I first started using Norton, this thing worked like a charm, and very consistent. Now the app barely stays connected from PC to app on my phone. It continues to ask me to re-enter my credentials and reset the bridge between my app and computer. The connection only lasts for if I'm lucky, 1 week. Then I must go through the procedures again. And almost every time at the worst times like when I'm pressed for time. Someone from Norton needs to read these reviews. Then fire the person responsible for this part of the Norton 360 experience. Because obviously I am not the only one experiencing these problems and more.
- (2025-07-25) Steven: suddenly impossible to log in
- (2025-07-17) Scott: This one of the best password protectors I have ever used. I tried McAfee and my computer was hacked and never had a problem with Norton, especially the password protection.
- (2025-07-04) Sandeep: Impossible to setup. I am going to remove the auto renew feature. I feel I got scammed.
- (2025-06-24) hugh: absolutely the WORST application ever. This thing is impossible to use. Quit the AI and get someone who knows how to write an application. I'm out of here as soon as the subscription is up. You literally can't log on to the password manager anymore.
- (2025-06-24) Anders: I have difficulty setting this up in Windows 11. With some effort I got it to work with Chrome, But have not been able to get it to work with Edge. When I try to log into the manager, it always wants me to log into Norton. But it won't let me do that.
- (2025-06-17) Shawn: I have to carry my phone around in my house in order to unlock this app with two-factor authentication on a daily basis? This is really annoying when it knows my location (at home) and still makes me go through unlocking with two-factor authentication. It used to stay unlocked for a week or more, unless I restarted my computer or moved locations.
- (2025-06-13) Paul: I have to put my Vault Password in EVERY time I open Edge. Previous versions of either Edge Extensions sent a request to approve to my phone.
- (2025-06-11) Claudia: Horrible. I was using it for a bit and then I was locked out. I've been trying for days to correct the situation but it is impossible. I will not review Norton at all because of this.
- (2025-06-05) Omar: Fighting to even open the app
- (2025-05-30) Roger: Works fine when you can access it but now it has locked me out and even Norton can't open it.
- (2025-05-15) Jürgen: Ändere meine vorherige Bewertung mit Kritik zum Aufruf des Password Managers, dieser lässt sich leicht als Erweiterung im jeweiligen Browser installieren und dann auch direkt aufrufen!
- (2025-04-11) Mark: Bought a new computer and Norton Password manager is a mess (2nd time this has happen with a new computer). I have to click on the app, then Get Password Manager, then open extensions and finally enter my password. Use to be one action (enter psw) and that's it. So, dumping it and going with a new product - Norton is not even listed in the top 5 in most cases for password manager. So, why support it and waste any more time on it.
- (2025-04-11) Bambi: Password manager never work in any of my laptop or desktop, is useless even create Password manager when you have to keep trying multiple time. no use, I even have a hard time put my password on Norton password box when they ask for your password, and also, they automatically tell you to change your password, if you haven't been on Norton for a while. which is fine, because they just want to protect your account, but somehow Norton will find way to make it easier for the online account costumer to log in to their own account. that's just convenient for any of us customer to maneuver when we log into our account, just my honest suggestion.

- (2025-04-02) Carolyn: Password Manager works on my desktop computer, but during the first week of March, password manager stopped working on my laptop. Totally confused. Don't know how to fix it. I can log into Password Manager through Norton's webpage. The URL on my desktop pc ends with "/unlock" and it works, but laptop displays the last part of URL as "/progress". If I change it, it shuts down. If I remove "/progress", the first login screen displays, but when I click on unlock to get where I put in my password, the screen also shuts down. Again, totally confused, and frustrated.
- (2025-03-28) Stephen: Sometimes it works ...a lot of times it doesn't
- (2025-03-20) Donald: not happy always something going wrong always trying to sell you something when really should be included seems to change settings on its own? password manager disappears
- (2025-03-16) Rick: Does not autofill passwords on phone and sometimes PC
- (2025-02-13) terry: I thought it was me. What a waste of time and money. The system should automatically add a new password when I am adding it. No, and it doesnt even allow me to "add new password", Just nothing. Useless. Come on people your prices go up, too high, and offer a process to lure us that we are getting something for nothing. We are getting nothing and paying for it. You should be picking it up and give it for nothing, not us paying for a promise that doesnt give us anything.
- (2025-02-03) Persephone: I've been using Norton 360 and Password Manager forever. I just got a new PC with Windows 11. My password manager icon has disappeared. Anyone know how to get it back, either to my task bar or favorites bar? This is a royal pain!
- (2025-01-28) Dwight: Worst extension ever - because it never works, I end up spending almost 10 times the time and effort for those sites where I have a password. Edge extension is useless. 99% of the I have to remove it, then add it back and re-authenticate to have it auto-populate webpages. I join other reviewers in that it is time to look for a better password manager. FYI - although a one star rating is the lowest allowable rating, it is still extremely generous.
- (2025-01-23) Fritz: Optimal und Sicher
- (2025-01-06) Iris: Ich kann in der neuen App den Passwortmanager nicht mehe aufrufen.
- (2025-01-01) Bill: People, I have also used Norton since Peter (Norton) went by a pet name. I reluctantly added using the poasword manager several years ago as it was bare bones and did not work so well on some devices. (Galaxy phones for example) I went with them out of some loyalty in the hope they would put more effort into it. I think a few years ago when they started the autofill PW vault style they only did enough to keep up with the "Flintstones". (<--Politically correct?) I also figured they will not go out of business as others have. I sent them an email stating I am using the product in the hope it will improve. It has somewhat and is above acceptable maybe even 8 out of 10. I think for hi tech people that have the band width to use multiple apps they might get higher quality but overall for people that do not have the time to deal with multiple Norton is a one stop shop. I did complain about them separating and charging for many separate components. but they need to make a living. send gd vibe
- (2024-12-31) Don: I have been using Norton since MS-DOS 2.x, and it just gets worse. Subscription price and the lack of performance is having me looking for an alternative.
- (2024-12-30) Paul: I’m experiencing the same issue. Initially, I thought it was my old laptop slowing down, so I bought a new, faster one, but the issue persists. Even after signing in, a red dot sometimes remains, though it does open and display the passwords eventually. However, I’ve noticed that even when it opens, there’s a delay before the passwords become accessible. I’ve been using Norton for a long time, and while it has always slightly slowed down my devices, this is significantly worse. My subscription was recently renewed, but if this continues, I’ll seriously consider not renewing again.
- (2024-12-27) Ken: The most recent update (November 2024) seems to have slowed the extension considerably. It takes an unnecessarily long time to get a login screen to enter the vault password, then it takes another unnecessarily long time to open the password vault to access or autofill essential passwords. I had good experiences with Norton Password Manager until this most recent update. I hope Norton fixes whatever is causing these unnecessary delays, or I may need to explore other password managers that make better use of my time.
- (2024-12-22) Lee: Something is up. Shows all the signs of poor testing. I have the vault with Norton 360 on a Windows 11 laptop. When you click on the icon in the tool bar nothing happens. I reset the extension permissions to default, still nothing. At somepoint there was an auto login when the edge browser came up. That doesn't seem to work at all. But I cannot turn it off. Manually adding the password is futile on Wi-Fi or hardwired. Something is amiss locally with the set up but neither the poorly trained support souls nor I can seem to fix it. It is like the New Norton 360 update i added prevents the link in the icon opening. I notice I have to manually open links in outlook no matter what my settings are for email links. I am lost for a means and feel like I may abandon it for a Nord VPN Password manager.
- (2024-12-18) Joseph: Have used Norton Password Manager on all my computers and with all browses for over 20 years. Why are all these people having so many problems? Maybe it's not Norton Password Manager but the people trying to use it. I have never called for support and have fixed any minor issues that have come up over the years myself. So what's the problem?
- (2024-12-16) Vince: Rated one because in the past few weeks the ap just stops opening on my windows 11 PC. Ridiculous. Wants me to sign into Norton but password doesn't autofill. I request on one time code and it never arrives. Service chat help worthless.
- (2024-12-10) slick: YOU WOULD THINK THIS"HIGH TECH" COMPANY COULD REALLY SCREW SOMTHING THIS BASIC. SUDDENLY YOUR PASSWORD MANAGER VANISHES. I DID SAVE ALL MY PASSWORDS ON A DIFFERENT DEVICE.BUT WHAT A PAIN I THINK I WILL START SHOPPING AROUD FOR A NEW SECURITY PLATFORM
- (2024-12-10) Teresa: Stopped working and I just noticed tonight. What's up?? I've been using this for years and this is only the second time I've had a problem but it's really frustrating!
- (2024-12-08) Deb: Stopped working this week. Have reinstalled it A BUNCH of times and STILL cannot get it to work. Oh COME on.
- (2024-12-05) Charles: Doesn't Work
- (2024-12-04) Michael: extension never works
- (2024-12-01) Robert: works fine....until it doesn't!
- (2024-11-30) Norbert: extension keeps logging me out..... what a joke....
- (2024-11-25) Bob: My password manager stopped working ...help!!
- (2024-11-11) Peter: I just added this feature to my Norton account. I have to say, until it works, this is going to get one star. When I attempt to access or "unlock" the vault, the screen times out.
- (2024-11-02) Toly: Seit Update im Oktober kann Passwortmanager nicht mehr über Mobiltelefon geöffnet werden. Wozu dann überhaupt die Sicherheitsroutinen?
- (2024-11-02) Reddog: What a joke. Had it just over a month and already week without password manager working.
- (2024-10-28) Walter: Passwortmanager weitgehend dysfunktional. Unwürdig für Norton.
- (2024-10-27) BILL: I cannot get into any of my accounts that were on PASSWORD MANAGER. THIS MUST BE FIXED "NOW".
- (2024-10-26) William: Ditto. This is insane customer service, there isn't any. Norton also failed to notice a virus on my computer. Geek Squad found it.
- (2024-10-25) Larry: Who does your testing? Received an update to main Norton product and now it no longer recognizes that Password manager is already installed. Not prepared to spend hours on the phone or chat to resolve something that a basic install program should manage.
- (2024-10-22) ginger: Same Same Same The wheel just keeps turning What happened to Password manager?
- (2024-10-19) vladimir: Всё прекрасно работало до середины октября 2024. А что теперь случилось? Колесо входа разблокировки в кабинет крутится а потом просто пропадает без возможности ввести пароль
- (2024-10-18) Doug: Edge extension does not work at all. I see others having the same issue and it makes this application useless. It takes more time to get it to work as it takes to look up my passwords on my phone.
