SpeakIt! is free text to speech extension that reads selected text using TTS technology with language auto-detection. It can read text in more than 50 languages.
Usage:
- First select the text you want it to read.
- Then click the icon to start listening.
- When it is ready to read, the number of sentences is shown on the icon.
- To stop listening at any time click pause

- Hi Trajche Petrov, I am a language learner from China and I love your speakit plugin. It works great with bing in web.skype.com and helps me learn different languages easily. However, I have some suggestions that I hope you can consider. Could you please make the messages from bing read out automatically without clicking the play button? And could you please enable voice input from the microphone so that I can practice speaking as well? These features would make your plugin even more awesome and useful. - It doesn't do anything. You click it and there is just silence. It shows it's reading but there is no sound. Tested the sound and it worked then. It just doesn't work on websites

- You should remove the shortcut definition, it has no effect. People got to use the Shortcut definition that can be defined in Edge itself, not in the extension. So it should be explained somewhere. Language selection is weird a little bit. If you select a type of voice, you should allow to select a type of voice for each language, otherwise you will end up reading text in english with a french voice and it sound like a retard. If you want to use autodetection, leave it to SpeakIt! in the drop down list for language selection.
