Description from store Transform your browsing experience with the Blixem extension for Chrome. Tabs and windows piling up cause distraction and chaos - not to mention reduced processing speed (for you and your machine). Blixem was built as a tool for you to control and organize your online life. Homepage: Your new tab screen is now a command center to view tabs vertically, access your favorite sites, and launch Workspaces in a single click. Customize the homepage to your liking with widgets, colors, and backgrounds for a personalized experience. Workspaces: Save your tabs into Workspaces for easy access, sharing, and collaboration. Like bookmarks, you can easily save any site to a Workspace with just a few clicks. Unlike bookmarks, you can customize, share, and collaborate on Workspaces. Collaborate: Keep Workspaces private, allow others to view, or add them as Editors. With permission, teams can contribute new content, exchange comments, and invite others. Granting permission to view or edit a workspace is as simple as sending a link or an email invite. Collaborators are not required to have the extension downloaded. Windows: This birds-eye-view gives you visibility to all open tabs across all of your Chrome windows. Rearrange, close, or add tabs to Workspaces from one page. Speed up your computer and reduce background activity by putting tabs and windows on Pause when you don't need them. Widgets: Bring your favorite tools front-and-center by adding relevant widgets and hiding everything else. Widgets like recently closed tabs/windows, frequently visited sites, and top Workspaces are game changers. Work-Personal: Separate your work-from-home life from your actual life using Categories. Workspaces labeled as "Work" are out of sight when you’re off duty. When you’re working, filter out "Personal" spaces to screen share with confidence and let your professionalism speak for itself.

  • (2023-04-18) oops os: Looks promising but (for me) currently lacking some features. 1. Import, export & backup of workspaces/links 2. Search across all workspaces for a link (rather than having to go into each workspace individually and search) 3. I would prefer the use of the new tab for any extension to be optional; there doesn't seem to be any way to use this extension while keeping the new tab for some other function. And alongside this, a keyboard shortcut to open the Blixem interface. 4. Save multiple tabs to a workspace by selecting the tabs you want to save and clicking the icon without opening the Blixem interace. Currently this only saves the active tab. In summary, this extension doesn't do what I need it to do right now, but what it does, it does well, and I'll be keeping an eye on it as it develops. It would be nice if the extension website had a more extensive FAQ, and a roadmap for development.
  • (2023-04-17) Josh Kasap: Could be great but there are a few issues. The first and biggest issues is security concerns. Why on earth does this extension have access to the following. 1. Personally identifiable information 2, Financial and payment information For example: transactions, credit card numbers, credit ratings, financial statements, or payment history 3. Authentication information For example: passwords, credentials, security question, or personal identification number (PIN) 4.User Activity For example: network monitoring, clicks, mouse position, scroll, or keystroke logging 5.Website content This extension's permissions seem designed to steal personal and financial info. As for functionality of the actual extension, When saving a workspace it does not save the tab group. Instead it puts all tabs of a workspace under a single tab group called section 1 by default. You can manually create multiple sections but the fact that this isn't done by default is annoying. Furthermore tabgroups/sections are randomly colored. So I'm out of luck if I have a youtube tabgroup that i want colored red because the extension will give it a random color. When I open a workspace i would like the option to open in the current window or open in a new window. When I open a workspace I want the workspace to dynamically be updated if i add or remove tabs. ATM it only seems to save tabs that are manually added to the workspace via the dashboard. When opening a workspace the extension doesn't seem to actually recognize a window as a workspace window. It's just opening a window with the specific tabs you saved to the workspace. This make the workspaces work more like starting template for browsing sessions instead of an actual workspace. No way to know if a workspace is already opened. If I have many windows open I might accidently open a workspace that is already open.

  • (2023-01-14) Kent Macaraig: This tab manager has a beautiful user interface, tons of functionality, and is highly user-friendly. contains every functionality a tab manager ought to have. Given its extensive feature set and low cost, I can imagine this Chrome extension competing with some of the well-known tab managers, such as Workona. With the right promotion, this may potentially reveal the majority of extensions. Occasionally, if I interact with a button, such as the "Create new workspace" or "Delete workspace" buttons, I have to hit the "undo" button first in order to receive the desired outcome. This is a tiny problem that I've discovered, although not a significant setback.
  • (2022-11-04) SiemprePalante77: Great extension. Loving it so far. I was using TabCloud for tab backup, but it stopped working correctly. And, I was also using InfiniteDashboard for the new tab page. This extension so far combines those too. The UI is great too. I haven't delved too deep into it yet, since I've only installed it today but I think it's going to remain in my toolkit.
  • (2022-10-17) Dannielle Spencer: I run a professional services firm and we've been trying to find a shared extension to keep all of our client login pages and docs organized, especially since our team is fully remote and our clients use a lot of software and are project-based. We use lastpass for password management, but some of the softwares we use have agency logins with many clients under one user, and there are often different brands of software that do the same thing. So a new team member would have to dig through each software brand's login to find which one the client uses. By having a browser extension like this we can all see the links for each client and keep them better organized. I was using Workona for this and while I loved the concept, I hated that it automatically closes the workspace your working on and opens all the tabs for any other workspace you're trying to access or update. Blixem allows sharing to the rest of our team and it allows you to easily view and drag and drop without opening a bunch of tabs unnecissarily. So far I love it!
  • (2022-07-19) Kevin Caballa: A tab manager that collects your payment, authentication information, website activity and PII? Very sketchy!!
  • (2022-07-11) Сергей Бережной: Great addition. Please make the opportunity to save backups. I had 14 links in one workspace. I see that there are 14 of them, but when I open the workspace, there are no links. And I don't know how to restore.
  • (2022-06-29) 炙燒鮭魚讚(benny): I had to start looking for similar ones like Workana and I think blixem is a very good alternative! Does blixem plan to develop backup and restore or import and export functions? Because I believe users will feel quite frustrated when they lose their data due to any accident
  • (2022-06-19) Bartosz Fedoryga: I have tried many bookmark and tab managers. Blixem meets my requirements best. Congratulations on creating an excellent program. I hope that Blixem will be further developed and the announced functions will be implemented - because they will increase the functionality even more. For me, the best thing is that Blixem combines the ability to manage tabs, windows, and the start page. I don't know if this is feasible, but for me it would be great if the saved workspace would update as I work in the workspace (i.e. if I delete an unneeded tab while working, it will immediately be reflected in the saved workspace). I also have some reservations about the Privacy Policy - it says that users' data can be shared with e.g. Business Partners - I think there should be an option not to agree to that (and thus resign from e.g. promotion offers). Greetings!
  • (2022-05-23) Jorge Lobos Ortiz: previously i was using workona because, of all available tab managers, is the only that supports interactive use of the tabs (go to the tab when pressed for example). The problem is that workona works very slow and is very buggy... Then i found this awesome extension and is a delight... this tab manager actually helps you to work with different browser windows at once instead of working against you...it works very fast and responsive unlike workona and i loved the novelty function that lets you observe all your open windows at the same time and organize your tabs between them in a very intuitive way.... The bookmark integration is very awesome too... Only thing i would add is the notes function but i;m glad it's already being worked on....
  • (2022-02-08) Brett Maiolfi: Awesome extension! I tend to open a ton of tabs and have trouble keeping everything organized. I've tried a million different extensions and Blixem blows them away. It's a great solution for tab management, workspace creation, and easy bookmark access. If you're like me and are searching for a good way to keep everything organized on Chrome, try Blixem. You won't be disappointed. Very excited to see this extension continue to develop!
  • (2021-10-15) Cheyenne Varner: Love the organization this extension gives me. Very helpful for managing school work and I really enjoy the customization options!
  • (2021-10-07) aprillmay11: This is easier than I expected since it takes over the home page whenever I open a new tab. It's like a more organized way of saving things. Love it!
  • (2021-10-07) Torrie Wickham: Perfect for work! I work as a Tech Recruiter and always have multiple candidate projects running at once. I've started using workspaces to organize my workflow by compiling all the resources I need to manage each role I'm hiring for. I also love how you can customize the naming of your tabs, 5 stars!
  • (2021-10-07) Nick Jorritsma: The tab view on the Home Screen is great bc I have so many things open at once. Cool that you can see everything open on a single page. Great to keep professional and personal workspaces separate.
  • (2021-10-07) Jaime LaFontaine: Helpful extension for anyone working from home or managing multiple projects. Experience is more intuitive and less noisy than other tab managers I've tried. Well designed and I enjoy that I can customize with colors and images.
  • (2021-10-07) Bikram Agarwal: Sign up / sign in page is the first thing you see after installing this. It doesn't let you see / try the extension first. You have to sign in to even see whether it is what you want. Automatic one-star from me.
