This extension assists with identifying timestamps on Twitch VODs by providing a tool for searching chat comments within a VOD. The idea is that if we are looking for some topic in a VOD, chat will be talking about it -- so we can find the comments and grab the timestamp off of the comment in the VOD.
This tool supports standard search operators and regular expressions.

- (2023-06-12) Melodica Dude: re-writing my whole review: This extension is one of the best there has been, and it is insane to me that a tool this useful for gathering context and finding moments in a twitch VOD is one of very few to ever serve this function and feature. I seriously cant believe no other Twitch improvement addon strives to do what this extension does because it is just that useful. I rate it 5 stars because that's the quality of what it provides. I do have to say though, that the extension breaks every few months due to updates. I don't blame the dev for this, of course, and it's not their fault that they're one person managing an extension, having to update it and wait for the updates to get approved. They have no obligation to keep this extension up to date and keep fixing it, but they do and that is very cool. There may be downtime when the extension is broken, but that's the consequence of this service being a specific, one person side project. If you're looking for an extension that allows you to comb twitch chats/VODs for context, you have found it. If it's not working at the moment, give it some time. That is all.

- (2023-05-16) komp: It's a great tool but it stopped working recently, it starts downloading to 0.57% then just stops and shows that it downloaded it all. Then when i search i get 0 results even if i search something i know is there. Hopefully this gets fixed

The extension becomes stuck on "Initiating vod chat extraction... You can start searching now" but then never returns any search results. It had been working perfectly up until the last couple weeks though!

- (2022-11-14) andydsm: THANK YOU so much for taking your time and making this extension! It was literally something I was looking for, for months! Works absolutely flawlessly! One little bug I found: once I click the round button to perform a chat search, complete my search, then close the popup, the clickable circle disappears and twitch stream has to refreshed.

Can you also make the application button not disappear after clicking and closing after searching on a live stream? So we can minimize and open it if necessary to search for updated data without restarting the browser window with the live stream.

- (2022-05-26) pedrohpf1990: Needed to find a mention of a certain emote in a vod, was confused at first on how it worked (saw the loading percentage, but was not sure what that meant, I think it's loading all the comments). When it reached 100% I clicked "run chat search" and it worked. Showed all mentions with time stamp. Might be useful in the future and regex is a nice bonus though I didn't try it yet. Good extension!
