Attendance Taking for Google Meet
This extension is intended for users who need a simple way to take attendance during a Google Meet.
This extension adds a button to the top right bar (next to chat & participant list) to help remember who joined a meeting in Google Meet.
Attendance taking allows you to remember who joined an online meeting and see who is not here.
(With more online video conferences taking place, its important to have an automatic solution to take attendance ).

This extension helps to remember when an attendee joined, how long they stayed for the meeting and helps you keep track of the meeting time
It is the easiest way to record down attendance : you can follow up later with participants who were unable to make the call. It works well for google hangouts meet
To begin using this extension, here is what you need to do:
Install the Chrome Browser Extension
Go inside a Google Meet meeting.
Click on the extension icon when you are IN the meeting to activate the extension.
Attendance taking will be enabled once you click on the extension icon when you are in a Google Meet online video call.

This extension is intended for teachers (like me) who've had to rapidly transition to online classes and need a simple way to take attendance during a Google Meet. As you start your Meet, you can enter a list of expected invitees and the extension will automatically detect who joined the call and how long they stayed.. You can save multiple class lists (which are shared to all of your devices).
The extension records which students attended, when they arrived and how long they stayed with all of the information displayed in a tidy HTML report.
I am a teacher so I understand the importance of privacy... my extension does *not* track or transmit any student information or usage data. The privacy policy and all source code can be found at https://github.com/al-caughey/Google-Meet-Attendance.

(2021-06-01) Cris Leal: Nesta última versão, passou a bloquear todo e qualquer vídeo automaticamente. Entra um aviso, O "Google Meet Attendance Extension bloqueou a reprodução de vídeos." E agora, toda vez eu tenho que clicar em "Permitir a repoduição de vídeos". E não vi em canto nenhum das configurações uma opção para desativar esse bloqueio automático.
(2021-05-31) Debashis sahoo: Great extension with autosaving of attendance and lot of amazing features. Very much helpful and time saving. But I found a problem when more students arrive it is also adding 10 others, 12 others etc names to attendance list .If possible please add another option of auto clear class list on each new meeting in settings to make it more easier. Thank you.

(2021-05-31) Gonzalo Rojas: I really like this app. It has improved my classes in terms of efficiency. Now I don't have to waste my time on reapeating one and every name of the attendees. Maybe it has its flaws such as the unspecificity of the time a person attends or leaves the meeting, but, still, it's a quite useful tool.
Sadly, after the Meet update, this app is no longer useable.

Has it been perfect... no.. but neither has Teams, Google Meet or Zoom!
The newer version Google Meet Attendance - V2 is available using my school account but for some reason I can't find it using my personal account. Until Google pushed an update of Chrome today (May 26th) this version was working well for me. If you have an issue with the title bar only appearing, try removing the extension and then re-adding it to Chrome... worked for me!

Also this version is no longer working with the new meet update.
Hopefully this gets fixed - it makes attendance a heck of a lot easier!
(2021-05-06) Venkata Bhamidipati: When I was first searching for an attendance tracker, I found this and I don't regret downloading it. It's perfect, to say the least. Makes my work so much easier. I thank the devs for making such a wonderful tool, which is extremely easy to use (Downloaded it, read the instructions, and am now able to easily use it). Would highly recommend it to anyone!!

(2021-04-21) Chaitali Talele: Really good extension. I am a teacher and It helps me to take attendance of my online class. But I want the whole month attendance in one spreadsheet. It must contain only name of students and there attendance column day wise. So that I need to see only one spreadsheet for whole month attendance. Just like roll call register used in school and college. Is it possible?
