- Really good extension. I've added custom code for ollama with qwen3:8b, and it works well. But there is one problem. It can't translate pages if they are local files.

- It says we can "use popular services like Google, Yandex, DeepL, Reverso, Bing" but in the Options, Translator module it only offers Google, Yandex, and Bergamot offline. We're able to add custom translators so maybe that's what they meant but that involves code and I can't be bothered to learn that. I specifically wanted Bing to translate Cantonese because I find it more accurate. Which brings me to the next problem... There's no Cantonese translation. It's not in the list of languages. There's only "Chinese" which is Mandarin. Google Translate has Cantonese now so I don't know why it's not in the list. Also text to speech doesn't work in the toolbar button window for the source language. It only works for the target language. This extension doesn't have anything of what I needed so it must go bye bye.

- Hey guys, this has been a problem since the start. When the dark theme for the browser is on, Linguist icon, being all black, won't show up. I mean, it actually shows, but it's not distinguishable from the browser UI dark color. Please address this... it's just about using a different icon for the extensions bar. The way it is now, I often end up forgetting having this installed... I'll be glad to raise my rating to 5 stars when this is fixed, being it a great project at its core!

- Good with translating, but messes up writing text in TextArea fields. It will reset the cursor when typing in TextArea fields, on auto-translate, even when the webpage is in English. Will mess up gmail writing, google sheets usage, etc.

- Hello developer. Since today I have had the same problem on Chrome, as described in a previous review by user Teotihuacan Gepeto: "Background script is unavailable." Previously everything worked fine. There are no such problems on Firefox and your extension still works well. I wonder if I caught some kind of virus and the scripts are blocked or your application as of today it does not work on chrome?

- good but almost always "detects" some random languages, on obviously English site. dev, here how to reproduce: - go to https://docs.aws.amazon.com/cognito/latest/developerguide/cognito-user-identity-pools.html - select the 'modify or overhaul' words from the second paragraph - click the extension's translate button. i'm getting the Xhosa language. why's that?? page and words is in English. feature requests: - if it's an issue you can't resolve quickly, then let me select the source language, without auto detecting it. or at least, let me choose which langs are to be considered in the auto detection. - on the translation dialog, the on-page one, support RTL langs. make it right to left, or at least put a button for me to set it. i'll be happy to re-rate if this is resolved. anyway thanks for trying!

- Finally found a translator that translates the page in one click! The translations are pretty good too. Def would recommend. Only problem I have is the lack of other translation modules. However, you can add your own custom modules, although, I don't know how to do it.
