Die Erweiterung Startpage Privatsphäre-Schutz vereint anonyme Suche und Online-Datenschutz und ermöglicht so den Schutz der Privatsphäre überall im Netz. Mit dieser Erweiterung werden Website-Tracker und Cookies automatisch blockiert und die Internetsuche anonymisiert. Mit nur einem Klick kannst du so die Anzahl persönlicher Daten reduzieren, die Big Tech und herkömmliche Suchmaschinen über dich sammeln.
Startpage Privatsphäre-Schutz wurde entwickelt, um Menschen die Kontrolle darüber zu geben, welche persönlichen Daten geteilt werden. Du erhältst die Möglichkeit, die Datenschutzpraktiken jeder besuchten Website einzusehen und kannst Datenschutz- und Tracking-Funktionen jederzeit ein- und ausschalten.
Diese Datenschutz-Erweiterung bietet die folgenden anonymen Such- und Blockierfunktionen:
- Legt Startpage als Standardsuchmaschine fest: Stellt sicher, dass alle Suchvorgänge anonym sind und nicht gespeichert, verkauft oder für die Erstellung eines Nutzerprofils verwendet werden.
- Blockiert Tracker und Cookies: Verhindert, dass Werbetreibende und Drittanbieter bei Suchaktivitäten Tracker setzen.
- Erstellt Datenschutzbewertung für Websites: Basierend auf dem Datenschutz der einzelnen Websites wird eine Datenschutzbewertung ermittelt und berechnet.
- Überschreibt Social-Media-Tracking: Ersetzt die Standardeinstellungen für das Tracking von Social Media-, Video- und Musikseiten durch "Click-to-Activate"-Optionen.
- Sendet ein Global Privacy Control-Signal: Besuchten Websites wird ein Signal mit deinen Datenschutzeinstellungen gesendet.
- Verhindert Browser-Fingerprinting: Websites von Drittanbietern, die mithilfe von speziellen Skripten Informationen über dich sammeln, werden erkannt und blockiert.

- (2023-08-17) Jackson Beale: Even after uninstalling the extension, my default start page is set to startpage.com and I can't figure out how to remove it. I can see that others have made this observation, and that there's chatter online that the service is not what it says it is. I would suggest that they respond to this comment and help me remove it so as to improve their reputation.

- (2022-09-20) Tommy: Would have been a 5 star review, however they have gone completely scummy by forcing your new tab window to be startpage with no way of disabling it in the extension settings. Absolutely unacceptable. Privacy badger does not change your browser settings like that, and does the exact same thing. Maybe I can revisit this if they change it, but until then 1 star it is.

- (2022-09-03) daniels 0056: It's really good for disabling trackers from what it reports in its statistics, I don't know how to verify that it actually blocks trackers. The only annoying thing is that it forces omnibox searches to startpage, while I want to keep Google. Startpage search results are often irrelevant and not able to find what I'm looking for, also Startpage always uses the first 3-4 positions for placed ads, which is extremely annoying. I will not be continuing using this plugin.
- (2022-08-15) XSHAS MSSSGM: Startpage Privatsphäre-Schutz macht auch den Brave Broswer noch viel Sicherer und auch extrem viel schneller, diese Erweiterung ist ein muss für Brave und für alle anderen Broswer.

- (2022-03-09) Cheeky Jinx: The search provider function for this needs work, it sends your search query as a GET string rather than a more secure POST. Anyone looking at your traffic will see what you have searched for. You can work around this by setting your search provider to the javascript below (assuming this site displays it properly), this script will submit your search as POST data and use a dark mode settings string. So the extension is actually doing TWO things, one of which you were already able to do by yourself via the browser's settings mechanism. Now, this extension actually PREVENTS you from switching to an alternate search engine while still enjoying the benefits of web site scoring and tracking prevention. I was already using StartPage as my search, but have DuckDuckGo as my search engine selection so I can use all of it's ! shortcuts (e.g. !sp <search term> to go to StartPage, !gh to go to GitHub, !w <search> to go to Wikipedia, etc.). This extension stops me from doing that. Please separate these functions, StartPage, and let me pick my own search engine in the settings!

I'm not one to review products but this really impressed me enough to write something. It's easy to use and the privacy score is noted directly in the browser so I know immediately how safe the website is when visiting it!

Sie stört nicht beim Surfen, die Seiten funktionieren vollständig. Es wird angezeigt, wie datenschutzfreundlich eine Webseite ist. Kann ich empfehlen!

Plus i like having startpage as my default search engine because it's much simpler and no-nonsense. After using it for the past few days, I realized that a lotta the sites I was visiting got a low privacy score...yikes!
