I would like this a lot better if I didn't have to type like I don't know how to speak Japanese. I was looking for a good alternative to the Japanese IME for Windows, and this was as close as I could get, but I think this extension is truly for people who are just starting out with learning the language, not for native speakers or people who are fluent.

  • (2023-05-12) Angel Efrain: I really like the extension, but i´m having problems whit the japanese punctuation, if a press "." in the extension it appears as "。", but a can't find a way to do the same thing whit the rest of the japanese punctuation, shuch as "ー" "、"and other ones, does someone has figurit out?
  • (2023-05-05) Nhi Tran: I love this extension, it's exactly what I needed. One small suggestion though. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong but, when switching between katakana and hiragana, the text disappears. So if I want to type a sentence with both of them, I need to write in hiragana, then copy the sentence, then change to katakana, then paste the sentence and repeat. If it's possible to make it so that when you switch languages, the text doesn't disappear, then that would be great! Either way, this extension is awesome!
  • (2023-04-25) Schleepy: Found out how to type those small characters for you guys. For むっつ, for example, write it out like this: "muttsu." The two T's indicate the small っ, and if you need a small ゃ like in ちゃ, just type "cha" and it automatically does it. If anyone here uses wanikani, it's super similar to the way you type japanese there.

  • (2023-02-22) Sergio G.: Great, but is there a way to type smaller characters like small つ or や?
  • (2022-08-31) Rose Cudmore: Great overall, but is there any way to type small characters such as with チェ? I can't figure out how Thanks, and once again, I really like this extension
  • (2022-06-07) sm.39: It's a really good extension! You type out the characters in romaji and it instantly translates to Katakana or Hiragana. I really like this extension and is quite useful for my Japanese practice, though I will point out that the Katakana and Hiragana are switched, like in the photos. You click Katakana and it types Hiragana, vice versa. Doesn't really bother me since it's quite easy to get used to, but could really mess up learners. Should probably fix that, developer(s)!

  • (2021-12-25) Beluga Trooga: Very useful tool for typing in hiragana and katakana! Should offer kanji too.
