When you install ExplainDev, you’re getting an always available expert that can answer questions on the code you’re reading without you phoning a friend or even opening a new tab.
Make sense of code written by others in GitHub, Stack Overflow answers, snippets and regular expressions in documentation, config files and examples in learning sites.
To use ExplainDev:
1. Install ExplainDev browser extension
2. Create an account (default: free)
3. Browse as normal; but when you see code on a website, use the explain button to get explanations and ask questions.

Coming from a non-technical background, ExplainDev has made it easy for me to understand simple to complex code by breaking it down and explaining what the code does and also line by line explanation. Being able to ask the AI my own questions about the code and get replies feels like I'm in the classroom with a teacher ready to answer me every time. No more getting stuck as I can now understand what the code is doing and how to use it. There's a lot of work to be done on this extension to improve it further but right now, in its present stage, ExplainDev is pretty darn good.
