Shopping sustainably has been important to me for years but most times it is either 1. too time consuming to fully understand every product I need to buy quickly and 2. increased greenwashing has majorly decreased my confidence in company's claims. It can be a difficult and frustrating line to walk. The Finch extension and Wise Guides allow me to kill that cognitive dissonance I feel when I make unsure purchases--will continue to share this tool with friends and family.

I find the design quite elegant and sleek on top of also being user friendly. However, what is truly exceptional about this cool piece of the internet is that it galvanizes a feeling of excitement for a future that is both sustainable and kinder to our planet and its people. With ingenuous solutions and a robust scientific backing, Finch makes understanding sustainability easy and accessible. I wish the team behind Finch the very best in their push for creative and above all, invaluable work.
• (2022-10-03) Alana Winner: Just didn't work. I don't think it worked with my older mac computer in chrome it is installed as an extension, but it does work when ordering from Amazon.

If you're reading this, you care about the environment and probably pride yourself on making decisions about what you purchase with the environment in mind. But the more you do that, the more confusing it can become. Finch makes it easy. Just a little browser extension then they help you figure out whether the thing you're buying is any good for the environment. If it isn't? They'll give you recommendations on what will. Super easy. Would give it 6 stars if I could.

We shop on Amazon pretty regularly especially with a 1 and a half year old at home so we get the string of guilt when we have the apartment covered in cardboard. Thankfully this extension helped make us feel better. We found our diapers were super terrible for the environment so we swapped to HelloBello and our kid loves it. Took me 10 seconds to optimize my cart and make it more environmentally friendly. Swapped out toilet paper for a better eco friendly toilet paper, swapped my detergent for something I never heard of which had BETTER reviews and was CHEAPER. Love that I can feel less guilty and better about shopping online with Finch. I'd love to see purchases over time. Hope they add that one day! But sending to all my friends to help out the environment.
