It has links to extensions which it says will work although my browser rejected it for Opera. So I found the problem I was having was resolved by going into options on IDM and reconnecting it to my browser exiting out and restarting the program. I recommend the official browser extension. This is just bringing up a guide to assist. I don't have any reason to believe that it's doing anything nefarious. Although that doesn't mean it isn't. Just means I didn't notice anything.
