  • (2023-05-21) Priyanuj Sharma: I wrote two sentences to test the app. Sentence 1: "I am writing this mail to all the men in the company." Sentence 2: "I am writing this mail to all the women in the company" For the first sentence it underlined "men" in yellow and prompted that it impacts the visibility of marginalized genders. For the second sentence it underlined "women" in green and prompted that it strengthens collaboration and sense of community. I am failing to understand how can this be considered unbiased and accurate. The app clearly did not understand the context of the sentence and classified the usage of "men" as non-inclusive, whereas classified the usage of "women" as inclusive. If the app does not attempt to understand the context of sentences and in what capacity it is being used, for it to classify terms as inclusive and non-inclusive will remain highly inaccurate.
  • (2023-01-26) Jürg Unterweger: I use it all the time and it helps me a lot with writing more inclusive! It integrates seamlessly in Chrome and it's easy to install and to use :-)
  • (2022-12-19) Daniel Hoss: Wirklich tolles Werkzeug. Es denkt mit und verhilft zu einem besseren Umgangston. Danke
  • (2022-10-11) Justina Kilinski: Witty is the solution we have been waiting for so long! These days it is not enough for a top notch business to spell error free. Tonality and hidden bias tell people a lot about the company culture. Ignoring that is, well, kind of ignorant. There is so much to learn and to explore about de-biased language. Thank you for this amazing tool to help us with that!
  • (2022-06-28) Klaus Fuchs: Witty is targeting such an important topic. It's so easy to fall into bias traps - this tool makes this a thing of the past! 5 stars!
  • (2022-04-13) Afsheen Ismail-Wey: Imagine the magnifying impact of shifting innate language patterns that hold us back from being truly inclusive! Witty is helping us do that. And our favourite feature? The on time micro-learnings offered around words that aren't inclusive, while you type! Way to go Witty Works! We're sharing Witty with everyone we know.
  • (2022-04-02) Tom Lee: I've only just started using this as an extension, but so far it's proving to be useful. It's handy in your native language, but I think especially helpful if you're writing in a second language - certainly worth giving it a try!
  • (2022-03-29) Lisa Done: What an amazing extension. It's a lot like Grammarly but includes inclusion. I love it! So useful. Should be every writer's new normal! Cool thing about it: it's very non-invasive and super easy
  • (2022-03-23) Belinda: I've been using Witty for a few months now and I'm so thankful to have it. Whether in an email or in a long-form blog post, Witty helps catch things that would go unnoticed otherwise. I've used it primarily in English, but from what I've used of the German version it's been so nice to be able to choose the gender-ending-form that suits best. I have Grammarly installed as well and sometimes the correcting of both apps overlaps each other. I would be so happy when this tool is also available for Safari :)
  • (2022-03-23) Andrea: I've been using this tool for a few weeks now and I'm impressed with how quickly it gets better and better. Although I thought I was someone who paid attention to writing inclusively, it is opening my eyes every day. I've learned a lot from it and feel more relaxed knowing I have a tool to nudge me in the right direction.
  • (2021-12-02) Markus Gehrig (power-affairs.ch): Die Erweiterung wird als nicht vertrauenswürdig eingestuft, bitte nachbessern.
  • (2021-12-01) Jürg Waeber: It's perfect for my profession! I am a copywriter - in German and English. I have had workshops about inclusive and non-inclusive language and afterwards tried to apply it as much as I could. But it was hardly possible since while writing I am in the flow and, as marketer, often think in stereotypes. So this tool is perfect for me. It integrates easily in my writing flow and helps me to detect when I am thinking in stereotypes. A workshop would never able to do this!
  • (2021-11-23) Konstanze Schade: Giving the extension 5 stars. There is nothing like it out there and even in its current form its already super helpful to make myself aware of how I use language. The color coding helps quickly see where the biggest potential issues are. The spell checker is a super nice bonus since I can quickly switch between "high" German and Swiss German. I don't even have a "ß" on my keyboard and now I just type Swiss German, enable "high" German spell checking and with a click I can change "Gruss" to "Gruß". Not everything works perfectly yet. By I have faith they keep improving the extension so that it works with more websites and updating the vocabulary.
  • (2021-11-23) Khazar Khakbaz: I love Wiity! I work in HR and writing job ads that are inclusive was difficult. Now the tool helps me to express our inclusive culture of our teams in a perfect way and is actively forming our corporate language o that it sounds/reads very natural and like us. To install and use it is very easy, only that its yet not working with every browser like Safari or all my write pads is a bit meh. But I guess another update will have it...
  • (2021-11-23) Dieter Heck: Everyone, including professional writers, might have trouble to write inclusive and bias-free. Even when you get the basics right, doing higher-level nuances that eliminate exclusive writing and biased wording can be overwhelming. Witty can help in those scenarios. This browser plug-in suggests Witty helps you to use wording that involves everyone and creates belonging. It suggests changes in real time and you can even edit in the interface. I still learn to write inclusively in my communication and Iwork on my own flaws based on unconscious bias. It works perfectly with Google Chrome, integrates with many tools and platforms and I can't praise it enough for all to use it.

  • (2021-11-29, v:1.6.0) Benjamin Wiederkehr: Injected Stylesheet
The Witty Chrome extension injects a stylesheet with the definition: a { font-family: Lato, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; cursor: pointer; } Obviously, this causes issues with many websites who do not have an explicit rule for links (HTML tag <a>).
