Summary: checkvisaslots.com is a collaborative screenshot sharing platform to check the US visa slots availability at US Consulates/Embassy in India. The screenshot sharing platform helps to check and track the availability of US visa appointments. The platform supports many US visa types like Student Visa (F-1), Employment Visa (H-1B), Tourism & Business Visa (B1, B2, B1/B2).
Detailed Story:
Checking US visa slot availability has been a hurdle to millions of Indians every year for multiple reasons
1. Lack of slots availability
2. Locking out for 72 hours if the portal *thinks* the user is a bot
3. Do not show the availability of the slots for 24 hours after 3-5 checks or refreshes
To overcome all these hurdles and prevent being locked out by the visa portal just when needed the most, we, checkvisaslots.com with the help of fellow community members, who check for the visa availability slots, created this tool to share the availability of the slots when they log on to the US Visa appointment scheduling portal.

I had to book for my wife's B2 visa and it looks like a impossible task initially considering the wait time of over 500days. I started the journey on Oct 2nd 2023 and somehow was getting only Feb 2025 date ~ 500days apart. Then the miracle happend got this plugin info googling not sure about it as it does capture screenshots under the hood. But gave it a shot. Initially for few days not so much luck but as commited got the required extentions. Then suddenly got October 2024 availability popped up and i booked that phew 5 months earlier still a good thing. Then tried as instructed at different hours and getting hang to the slots availablity few minutes apart without loggin was good. I then tried and managed to get a May slot. Phew just 15 days and saved over 10months viz. 300 days apart. Then the magic happened. Slots opened everywhere and dates from jan 2024 were available in kolkata and delhi. I ensured to try my luck and got Feb slot and was still hopeful to make my parents birthday on Feb 25 celebrate in USA. So kept trying and viola got Jan 2024 slot which was perfect for me as I will be in around Kolkata same time. Thanks CheckVisaSlots team you rock and keep helping the community with your wonderful plugin. So may be lucky but got close date to my travel.

I can readily see that there are few screenshots which give 15 Dec 2023 as Delhi VAC dates with many slots available. However, the same are fake since I am unable to see the dates within 2 seconds of being on the portal .

- (2023-06-18) Jacob: For those trying to book F1 in 2024. I booked my appointment in mid-2023. The extension is excellent but might stop working when bulk slots are released. I would also recommend getting the email subscription, which is only Rs. 2000–seldom fails when bulk slots are released. Use this in conjunction with Telegram and your university groups. Don't be penny-wise pound foolish; 2000 bucks goes a long way! Even after you book, continue to check the portal, as your crowd-sourced data helps those trying to book in the future.

- (2023-06-10) Hardik Bohra: I paid the subscription fee to get email updates about the slots, contributed some images by logging into the cgi website. Then I check the notification page, and I realized they didn't send me any notification because my rank in their "contribution chart" wasn't in the top 20 people. You increase your rank by contributing more, but if you contribute more -- you may get blocked by the cgi website either temporarily for a few hours or in worst case for 72 hours! There lies the contradictory and utterly useless strategy from this extension's subscription. Only way you will get email alert is when embassies release slots in bulk, about which you can also get information on telegram groups. Another issue, the notification page where you can check the last 10 times these services sent an email about slots, may even ban you for a few hours if you refresh this page a few times in an hour! Like just 5 times in just an hour! Second, you can only see the last 10 times they sent a notification, but why just ten times! Overall, I regret spending any money here. It was a big mistake, and I would recommend for people to just use telegram groups.

As soon as the slots opened, I got the email. and I logged in ASAP. and was able to book. My agent was not able to help. People inform in telegram groups but only after they book their slots, by that time the information becomes old and when others log in looking for their slots. They reach the max attempts or their account gets frozen. So it is best to subscribe to their premium plans and get updates in real time.
