How It Works:
1. Add the Consciously extension to your Chrome browser.
2. Select your causes.
3. When you visit a product page on Amazon, a small box appears in the corner of your browser that shares brand ratings and value aligned product recommendations

Consciously works similarly to Honey and Capital One Shopping. Instead of displaying coupon codes, prices, discounts, deals, and sales, our shopping assistant shares company practices and business ethics.

When you add Consciously, you’ll get a message that says we can “read and change all your data on the websites you visit.” This is a notification from your browser that we cannot edit. For Consciously to work, we must read your website (your data), meaning read your Amazon product page so we can identify the name of the product you are viewing in order to share information about that product. Changing the data on your website means that a pop-up appears in the corner of your screen, which is where the company data is shared. We wish we could make this notification less confusing!

- (2022-05-05) Morrigan: Doesn't work in tandum if you have Fake Spot and Honey active on your pages. I have to turn off those other extensions and only use Consciously for it to work, which isn't ideal when I'm trying to make decisions on say Amazon.
- (2021-08-10) Stephen: This is fantastic!! Easy to use, pops up while I'm on Amazon so I can see which brands test on animals. Also, gives me recommended products so I can make a switch! Just bought some women-owned, cruelty free detergent. Boom!
