iCloud Passwords lets you fill passwords from iCloud Keychain when signing in to websites using Edge.

iCloud Passwords lets you securely fill passwords from iCloud Keychain when signing in to websites using Edge. Any new passwords you create in Edge are saved to your iCloud Keychain so that they are also available across your Apple devices. The extension can also generate verification codes, which you can set up by right-clicking on a QR code.
The iCloud Passwords extension is compatible with macOS Sonoma or later, and Windows versions supported by the iCloud for Windows app. To enable the extension on a PC, download the iCloud for Windows app from the Microsoft Store and enable iCloud Passwords.

- sehr sehr ärgerlich! Der iCloud-Passwort funktioniert nicht mehr!!! Es öffnet sich im Hintergrund und füllt die Passwörter nicht mehr automatisch ein! Versucht man es in den Vordergrund zu bringen, geht es auch nicht. Das Problem besteht schon seit geräumte Zeit und wird immer noch nicht behoben!

- 每次开浏览器都要输验证码，有点麻烦。对于未登录icloud应用的临时电脑要验证码能理解，已经登录icloud应用的常用电脑，就不能自动识别登录吗

- I cant even describe in words how much I absolutely LOATHE Apple, Google and Microsofts endless dick measuring contest or idiocy that ever lead them to destroying ease of use and straight up retardation of the password experience of today in a time where marvelous advancements are being made these fools make me and MOST others hate computers while dreaming of violence towards the tech creators is constant. oh and META.. maybe the weirdest of them all navigating their developers areas .. stabby stabby and Im not like that. HATE... ********

- To all those out there a bit confused why you can't look at your passwords after signing in to the keychain extension: this extension is an add-on that works WITH the iCloud app that you need to install on your main system. The iCloud app for Windows lets you view and manage the passwords and provides the 2FA codes for the keychain extension ONLY natively in Windows without the need for an additional device. The app DOES WORK the as intended for a password fill/save passthrough to iCloud. Don't expect to view/manage the passwords here, it would be an insecure thing for a 3rd party browser extension to give the browser explicit read/write access to credentials. Apple has done this for your security not to annoy you, which I believe deserves a much higher rating between 4 and 5. Not trying to say anyone should just know this (as Apple don't explain you have to get iCloud for Windows+Keychain) but a low rating pushes people to go buy a Mac and Apple support this less not more.

- o pessoa que usa isso é muito leigo, a extensão funciona corretamente, se você esta usando um windows é claro que você deve ter o app do icloud instalado no windows, ele é a segurança pra usar a senhas, tem que esta devidamente logado e liberado pela conta apple, e sim ele se comunica perfeitamente entre a extensão e o icloud para windows. 0 erros.

- Thank for showing the two-factor authentication on the same device requesting the password. Anyone ever gets on your computer, they get access to all your passwords because the two-factor code pops up at the bottom of the screen of the same computer.

- Supper buggy: Nor finding the correct password, also pollute Devtools with 404 not found scripts (utils.js, extensionState.js, heuristicsRedefinition.js), terrible during development.

- When this works, it's great. It has (mostly) seamless integration with the iCloud app / iCloud passwords. But Edge can't detect the iCloud app anymore and prompts you to download it. It's already installed. Reinstalling the extension doesn't help. Reinstalling the iCloud app doesn't help. You're in limbo. One star.

- Apple's support for Windows is just awful. Yes I suppose this app "mostly" fills in passwords, but that's about it: it fails to recognize half the login screens/prompts that I get, it doesn't have any configurable rules for password creation that I can find (i.e., characters to use/omit, length, quantity of capitals/numerals/etc.), and *IT CANNOT IMPORT/EXPORT LISTS*. Yes, nothing like having to manually type a hundred account credentials into an "automated" utility. What garbage.

- Requires iCloud for Windows app to work. Anyone with a work laptop that is locked down / secure cannot use that. This means Apple Passwords cannot replace my existing password manager (Bitwarden). Very disappointing and short-sighted of Apple.

- I'm not sure I would say the extension is unstable, it does have a learning curve, but I can assure you it works and without problems that I have seen. The only quirk I feel it has, is if you use Passwords to manage 2FA OTP codes, it takes a couple seconds before it populates for you to fill them. Outside of that, I have had zero issues with the app in the past 5 months of usage.

- The latest version works a lot better, it fills in passwords, OTP and offers to save, if it could handle passkeys which are saved that would be good and the solution complete

- Jedes Mal den Code einzugeben, der aus der iCloud generiert und auf demselben Gerät angezeigt wird, ist nicht nur unnötig, sondern auch lästig. Damit wird der iCloud-Passwortmanager zwar attraktiver, aber im Vergleich zu anderen Anbietern noch lange nicht alltagstauglich. Hier muss Apple deutlich nachbessern – dann wäre er nahezu perfekt!

- Bei jedem Browser-Start muss ein Einmal-Code aus der iCloud abgetippt werden. Das ist auf Dauer sehr umständlich.

- It works on edge guys, uninstall, then reinstall the app. sometimes you have to do this with apps for full update. hope this helps! it did for me!

- Seems to work so far, I was pulling my hair out because it kept telling me to download iCloud for Windows even though it was set up. I followed the instructions in the review by Justin and it worked like a charm. I didn't delete and reinstall the app, just started with closing edge, then turning off passwords and keychain and going from there. I do have photos and files enabled and it still worked fine finally. I haven't figured out a way if there is one to generate a strong password on the fly without opening the passwords app and since I just started i haven't yet tried to autofill but i'll update my review if I encounter any issues.

- Works, but is tempermental. Here's what I do to get it working everytime I install windows. Download iCloud from MS Store and in setup just enable the Passwords (photo, files, bookmarks are disabled) When setup finishes close Edge browser (if open), open iCloud app and click on "Passwords and Keychain". TURN IT OFF. doesn't seem to matter if "Microsoft Edge (Default) extension is still installed. Click done and [X] at the top-right. Re-open iCloud app. Now reverse previous steps to turn "Passwords and Keychain" to ON. Click Done and then click "View in iCloud Passwords App". When that's open, Edge extension should work.

- Worked fine for the months and months that I had it, and suddenly, like so many others are saying, I'm being prompted to download iCloud for Windows, which is already installed! Major disconnect here. Unfortunately, doesn't affect Apple's bottom line, so probably won't get fixed, but it should! Seems to have been broken for some for over a month!

- Extension literally doesn't work and not to mention Apple secretly got rid of the option to import passwords into iCloud passwords app, without that feature I will never be using their password manager

- was working fine for years on edge browser then a couple days ago, the button is crossed out and when i click it, it says i have to download icloud...bug in the last update perhaps? UPDATE: you can still access iCloud Passwords from the iCloud app

- Seit einiger Zeit funktioniert der iCloud-Passwortmanager nicht mehr. Benutzername und Passwort werden nicht mehr in den Login auf den Websites eingetragen! Wie kann man nur solch gravierenden Fehler einbauen bzw. übersehen??? Warum wird das nicht umgehend beseitigt??? So kann dieser nicht mehr benutzt werden, das ist die Hauptfunktion!!!!!

- It doesn't work. The iCloud Password icon in the task bar is crossed out. When I click on the icon to try and enable the extension, it keeps asking me to download iCloud for Windows which is already installed on my laptop. Works great in Chrome on the same computer.
