iCloud Passwords lets you fill passwords from iCloud Keychain when signing in to websites using Edge.

Description from store iCloud Passwords lets you securely fill passwords from iCloud Keychain when signing in to websites using Edge. Any new passwords you create in Edge are saved to your iCloud Keychain so that they are also available across your Apple devices. The extension can also generate verification codes, which you can set up by right-clicking on a QR code. The iCloud Passwords extension is compatible with macOS Sonoma and Windows versions supported by the iCloud for Windows app. To enable the extension on a PC, download the iCloud for Windows app from the Microsoft Store and enable iCloud Passwords.

(2024-04-01) Sampath: Poorly executed product. Recently, the syncs are failing from Windows 11. Updates from Apple devices are being synced back to Windows 11, but any updates/additions on Windows 11 don't sync back to cloud. Unfortunately, I ended up adding many passwords recently, and now I have manually add all those again on an Apple device. Apple should pull this off the Microsoft Store to avoid misery for customers who blindly trust Apple's reliability.

(2024-03-23) Thomas: I see I'm not alone in my problems since the latest iCloud for Windows update. Everything seems to be syncing except for Passwords and Keychain. It refuses to turn on. Everything worked fine before the update today. I spent hours on the phone today with Apple troubleshooting that. I finally ended that after "tier 2" support said that engineering required me to install iTunes to fix the problem with Password and Keychain syncing! What?! lol I think Apple's tier 2 support, at least the person I was speaking with, might need some more training. This is my school laptop and I've never had iTunes installed, nor do I have a need to. All syncing works, except for Passwords and Keychain. So I guess I'll need to do without since there doesn't seem to be a fix, supposedly without installing iTunes. Crazy.

When clicking Enable Password Autofill, the popup just loops back to telling me to Enable Passwords in iCloud for Windows... which I've done numerous times. iCloud Passwords extension has been broken since iCloud for Windows 14.2 launched. It keeps telling me to download iCloud for Windows even after doing so and enabling all relevant settings.
(2024-02-13) Pano: The update was a bit quirky and made the extension stop working. Here is what I did to make it work as intended (even the latest iCloud bookmark extension): 1) Uninstall the iCloud app and the iCloud browser extension(s). 2) Restart your computer. 3) From your Apple device, go to your iCloud profile settings > iCloud > Show All (if needed) > and toggle off Safari (will turn off bookmark and password syncing). 4) Reinstall iCloud app from the Microsoft Store. 5) Reinstall latest iCloud browser extensions using links provided in iCloud app setup or from browser add-on store. 6) Using directions from step 3 above, toggle Safari back on (will turn on bookmark and password syncing). 7) Everything should sync properly. If not, repeat the steps.
