Description from store iCloud Passwords lets you securely fill passwords from iCloud Keychain when signing in to websites using Edge. Any new passwords you create in Edge are saved to your iCloud Keychain so that they are also available across your Apple devices. The extension can also generate verification codes, which you can set up by right-clicking on a QR code. The iCloud Passwords extension is compatible with macOS Sonoma and Windows versions supported by the iCloud for Windows app. To enable the extension on a PC, download the iCloud for Windows app from the Microsoft Store and enable iCloud Passwords.

(2024-11-19) Ant: I must admit, I DID NOT expect to see this plugin suddenly pop-up in the Passwords app on my Macbook Pro, but here it is and it's working seamlessly in Edge. I might have to be done with the Edge Wallet, if this password manager is more flexible and with Microsoft's recent sunsetting of the Microsoft Authenticator/Autofill plugin for Edge and Chrome, plus I go to my iPhone more frequently anyway. Microsoft better have some punch back and/or they better hope this Apple Passwords app is buggy or something, because I'm seeing another reason to fall out of the MS ecosystem here. Good competitive tech moves!

Synchronisierung der Passörter funktioniert immer noch nicht, was Neues kam dazu Bilder werden auch nicht mehr synchronisiert, Dann iCloud für Windows Software zurückzusetzen, ganz großes Kino auf dem iPad sind im Schlüsselbund alle Passwörter gelöscht. Danke an Apple das ihr euer iPhone so sicher gemacht habt das noch nicht mal eure eigene Erweiterung für Edge darauf zugreifen kann. Meiner Meinung nach gehört diese Erweiterung entfernt.

If I have multiple entries with the same website name and username, this extension seems to pick one password from those entries and displays that same password for ALL entries. If I open up the password app on my iPhone, the entries all show their unique and correct passwords. Also, when looking up a password, if you type in the search field while it's still loading your password list (which for me and my 1200 passwords takes around 10 seconds), the app will crash. No import or export functionality either (no import function on iOS either... I had to format a 10 year old macbook just to migrate my passwords over) I do like the new iOS 18 passwords app/functionality in iOS... but getting the passwords into it was a hassle, and USING those passwords on my windows PC has been an eye-opening experience. Where's the quality control and testing, Apple? You can't just publish junky poorly tested software for Windows and try to act like it's Windows' fault. This reflects on you.

(2024-09-29) Aaron: Impossible to use with work accounts. If you have a work account that does not let you use Windows Hello (i.e. you can never use facial recognition or fingerprint, just a PIN), you fundamentally cannot use password manager. Stop trying. Its not you, its Microsoft and Apple.

Got a new iPhone 16 Pro and I simply cannot get logged in to my Microsoft account to save my soul. I've installed that Authenticator so many times it's not funny. I can't get access to my Edge Collections!!! 2 steps forward one step backwards.

I am looking at a message from Edge that I already had this in Edge, while it is not in my Browser extensions. Do I want to Remove? HELL YES!! Trying to figure out how to get Authenticator, Edge and this monster to Sync is impossible. Only got it because I am using an iPhone trying to keep Google crawling up my a** since I cannot get my Lumia 950XL WP provisioned on any telco. I do a lot of stuff on my phone, LIKE EVERYONE ELSE IN THE WORLD! Bring back Windows Phone!

Process of elimination reveals that this is the Edge Browser Extension which is disabling my autofill at: Edge Settings>Profiles>Personal Info>Addresses & More It would hide all content and disable interaction with the features. I can't find a suitable work around. Goodby iCloud Passwords (for now) as the tradeoff is too big of a loss of value for me - too inconvenient.
(2024-09-09) Owen: Edit: Almost perfect... unfortunately, it doesn't stay authenticated. I have to type in the code every time I enter a passcode. Which isn't a huge delay, but removes the convenience that this is supposed to give. THANK YOU APPLE!!! Finally, after several months, they fixed the app! Now I can switch entirely to using iCloud Passwords! Thank you!

(2024-08-25) Dev: I'd give zero if I could. Apple has all the money and the labor force and more than needed to fix the issue that overwhelming majority of people are experiencing. Its been months that I personally have not been able to crack the code to make this work, and there's no excuse for their lack of improvement here and the blatant disregard of the outcries of their customer base. If it doesnt work when you get it then dont waste your time, you'll be able to afford a new phone before they'll fix the problem.

(2024-08-08) Ian: Ok, for those of you having issues with this extension, after HOURS of troubleshooting I think I fixed it. First, update to the newest version of iCloud for Windows from the MS Store. If after this you can't verify the extension, remove it from Edge, then logout from iCloud for Windows by going to "account details". It'll ask if you want to delete your files, photos, etc. Hit yes. You'll download them again in a minute. Log in again from iCloud for Windows. Do NOT download the extension yet. Log into iCloud again. You'll need to set up photos, drive, and most importantly Passwords. When it asks you to install the extension hit yes. Finish the next steps. Once you're done, Passwords will verify along with the other services. Boom, you're good to go. Extremely convoluted and buggy process. Again, I wasted hours trying to get the stupid verification code to go through to no avail. I even called Apple support and they obviously had no idea how to fix it. I hope this helps somebody.
