  • (2023-10-13) kenlie carreon: It works well for a few minutes and then I do not know what happened. It just would not work anymore. I originally planned to purchase a subscription but then every time I turn on the extension, the browser itself goes blank. I think it is full of bugs.
  • (2023-10-09) Lance: The Migaku browser extension has improved the quality of my Japanese language learning tenfold. I can honestly say there is no better tool for sentence mining. I am looking forward to all the new features planned for the future! ;)
  • (2023-07-09) kebi: The concept is great but the app is buggy and not stable. Plus the development is taking forever (been waiting for more than 2 years). It also lacks customization for using local pitch accent dictionaries and generate automatic definitions.
  • (2023-05-06) Jeison Martinez: Just great!
  • (2023-03-24) M. M: not free + large size
  • (2022-10-16) Cj Dorzok: Great idea at first, until you start to realize there are way better ones that are FREE and work better. Also you do have to pay for support on top of already paying subscription, the amount of milking here is insane. They saw matt's vs japans video and was like we can capitalize on this. This one has so many issues, for instance limited ability to customize the card format (if you have already cards credit on anki you have to duplicate them in order to customize them, so your deck gets doubled) Second, it constantly gets readings wrong in Japanese, (an issue i brought up to them twice) and they blame it on AI, except it happens when i click the correct reading and kanji, also they somehow get the kana wrong. Using their syntax system i notice that it will change the hiragana to the wrong hiragana, come on now. The card creation is quick and easy with a pop up dictionary that makes it easy to grab things you need in order to create cards, but also they get subtitles wrong on netflix. I recommend going to dedicated sites to download the subs with asb player. I just relay on migaku now just for the card creation. I wake up today, and saw that it can't connect to the web browser extension, wanted to get support, but hey i got dish out another 5 bucks for a quick response from them. I dont want to relay on reddit because, its reddit but also its anki if you miss a day, it kind of throws your flow out the door. DO NOT GET THE PITCH ACCENT GENERATION IS HORRIBLE AND WILL BUILD A BAD HABIT. TDLR: Bad readings, bugs, can lead to bad practice of hearing the wrong pitch accent, paying for support on already paying subscription. Milking users out of pocket. If you're reading this, use ASB player, yomichan and anime cards format for the better experience. Also guides on themoeway/refold jp to get a good quick flow of card creation. I used to be a lover of migaku until i realize the abusive relationship it is. Dont waste your money on the amount of issues that can build bad habits like pitch accents
  • (2022-10-14) Bryan Brasher: Seems like a really cool idea but does not work (at least for German). Installed in Windows (and tried on Linux) with same results: despite installing dictionaries and using default settings, it does not fill in Anki cards of even return anything in the dictionary (no definitions, no audio, no sentences, only images).
  • (2022-09-20) Marcus D: Buggy and very poor support. Mine stops working randomly (it creates blank cards) and the only way to fix it is to re-install the extension. Take a look at their forums, support queries are simply ignored. Considering it's a paid extension this is very poor customer service.
  • (2022-09-08) Noodle: Very handy, although could offer a bit more for the price. Kanji dictionary support is a must!
  • (2022-07-19) Einfach ich: The app itself is fine, it does make learning easier and more comfortable. Although some things are unnecessarily over complicated and unintuitive At the point of this review the app does cost money, and about 1 year ago they were saying it would go free soon if it finished ( bait ). I dont mind them trying to lure in people like this and milk some money out of it since its a useful app, but the problem is that you dont get support if the app is broken for months.
  • (2022-04-13) Kameosa Ein: Great Browser Extension overall. With some minor tweaks of the parsing dictionary it will be perfect.
  • (2022-03-29) HQ Yang: Waiting for next updates with bugs killed and features enhanced.
  • (2022-03-22) MAW: Makes tracking progress and learning new words easier :)
  • (2022-02-27) Clara B: I like the extension itself but the support is poor considering you are paying for it. I have problems with the extension and tried everything to reach migaku but got no response; forum, discord, messaging the discord admins and so on. If you go the step to be a commercial product there should at least be a decent support or a way to contact someone.
  • (2022-02-25) Connor Williams: Good tool for langauge learning. Use it daily. Pretty poggers
  • (2022-02-25) Adrian Reed (γƒžγ‚€γ‚―γ γ‚ˆ): The browser extension is an amazing tool that covers almost everything a learner can dream of. even if you are already fluent in a language, it can still help you getting the extra edge! Also, the community and support are awesome and you can really see the developers care about the users
  • (2022-02-25) Soyoko U.: μ•„μ£Ό νŽΈλ¦¬ν•¨.
  • (2022-02-24) Noah Sachs: The essential app for anyone seriously wanting to learn a language, period.
  • (2022-02-24) Destin Estrela: An absolute game changer. I have migaku's products to thank for getting me to JLPT N2 level Japanese with no explicit studying other than 20 minutes a day of flashcards. Never have I been so happy to subscribe to a service.
