• (2023-07-15) Remy Wilson: Been going crazy for months at all of the dates on YouTube videos (particularly in the sidebar/recommended) being completely wrong. A new video might say it was published on Jan 4, 2021, for example. Had no idea it was this extension, which is completely busted due to not being updated. Some update on YouTube must conflict with whatever its doing, because as soon as I disabled this extension, dates displayed correctly again.

It does NOT show the time youtube videos were uploaded, and instead directs you to the store, presumably so you would give the app a rating. So I did. 1 star.

However, the date appears at right after the view count, meaning on smaller resolutions the date will be hidden due all of the buttons YouTube has added in the same ribbon area. I can see the date fine in 1920x1080. However, I was not able to see the date while using 1600x900 (Windows 7, regular video/not a livestream).

  I would like to see the exact moment the video went "live" for the public, even inside the same hour it goes live. I often watch breaking news & opinion videos, and I would like it if this extension made it possible to view the exact upload date AND time all at once, AND also still displays the differential amount of "time since this video went live to the public" too. I don't just want YouTube to tell me "an hour ago" when I view a breaking news video, I want to know exactly how many minutes & seconds so I can induce information about which news outlets are just repeating what other, more original sources provided first. I want both of those DateTimes to be in the standard ISO 8601 format: [ YYYY-MM-DD hh:mm:ss ]

  Hi. I picked up this extension because I HATE the new YouTube update that hides the date the video was uploaded. Unfortunately, I installed it and it doesn't seem to work. Is there anything I need to change/enable in my settings or anything else I might be missing to allow this extension to work? Thank you.

  I got the new UI and can no longer see the date but rounded corners a-plenty. It looks like you are going to have to update the extension for the new UI.
