Does it bother you when MyFitnessPal makes any surplus calories you log into big red judgmental numbers? Sometimes you're only over by 5 calories; that's still a WIN in my book! Sometimes we might eat more calories on purpose during a refeed or when carbing up for big event; there's no reason to feel bad about that!
This extension puts a positive spin on those extra calories, because we don't need to feel like we're being shamed for eating food.
Eating and weight management isn't a moral issue, it's just a math equation. If your long-term average is going in the right direction, you don't need to be shamed for anything you do on a single day.
