Firefox Relay helps you protect your real email address — the one most closely tied to your online identity. It lets you generate unique, random aliases you can use to sign up for accounts, apps, or newsletters, and forwards messages to your real address. If you find that an account is sending unwanted email or spam, you can block the alias and it will stop sending email to your inbox. Once you no longer want an account, you can delete the alias.

- (2024-12-09) parad0x: Does it work, yes. It also sends (and does admit to for the minority that read it) all your web browsing traffic to the mail provider. This is a blatant attempt to prey on the uninitiated. Either of these alone should be reason enough not to trust or use this extension. The fact it's likely to be removed for not complying with Google's Extension requirements, is strike-3 in the blatantly obvious reasons not to use this Extension (If you read & understood these terms, concern should be clear. If you're ok sharing browsing information? Ensure trafffic & browser calls are monitored closely to ensure their honesty. If ok with a third party? (and sold again to companies who aggregate user data from numerous sources). If you answered yes. Save yourself the risk, perform due diligence research, and purchase a dedicated service if this feature is so important to you. More than one alternative option exists, and i urge equirers down these routes, but some persist. There's only one product i would ever recommend to friends, family & customers (or ever use myself). Despite not it, i purchased a lifetime subscription in order to provide my support to self-funded OSS, run by an NFP organisation, with a strict NGO stance, and a strong mission statement solely to protect, educate and empower internet users. I just hope their message is heard and the importance of individuals' privacy to the upcoming generations before its meaning is lost forever. Just because it's the internet, it does not mean that it has no need or right to privacy.
- (2024-10-25) Mose: Seems to work for me!
- (2024-10-17) Brian Clifton: I am unable to get this to work. It just sends me to the Relay site to sign in (I am already signed in), where I then have to copy/paste an alias. I am expecting it to communicate with Relay and allow me to select an address.
- (2024-09-20) Dustin DeHaven: Awesome. Sucks that Google is breaking it in their next Chrome
- (2024-08-03) Horsina: Works flawlesly. You get 5 spam email addresses with the free plan and when you are singing up for some random website you know you won't visit ever again, you can just use one of them and all advertising and scam emails go to that one istead of your main one. Very handy extension I use Firefox as my main browser (and you don't need any extension), but sometimes I am forced to use Chrome so then this extension comes handy. Now that Chrome plans on removing uBlock, Relay and many other apps from their addons I have one more reason to convert fully to Firefox or Opera

- (2023-08-30) K Samsonov: Add a display of real Email to your extension! So that at the very top, of the Relay popup box, it will write my real email address. Good luck)

- (2023-05-15) Michael: This extension has been out for over a year now. The icon in the email field STILL doesn't render properly. Now, more recently, it requires me to be logged into my Relay account to use it? I configure my browser to clear all cookies on exit, I don't stay logged into anything. Using an API key would be far more preferable.

- (2022-11-09) Bergg Uscha: Guys, thank you for make it possible to use relay in chrome. But keep it technical. No need for excessive advertising of the subdomain feature on the web site. Top menu, top banner, the help pop up (which is also covers a portion of the screen on android). REQ: I hope that the option "Allow Relay to collect data showing the sites on which your masks are created and used." is what I am missing as a feature. I would like to know the names/mails of the senders without going into my email app. This way I can decide whether the amount of spam is worth keeping the particular relay alive or delete it.

- (2022-09-28) Andrew: I cannot remove my mask or log out of my account. I am unable to send a support ticket either, because im also met with a 403 forbidden error. The addon is completely broken and i cannot utilize it. I am ditching relay for Guerilla Mail and Burner mail.

- (2022-06-29) Quirico Tursi: Relay service is very good, per se. What is not: Mozilla automatically opting-in data collection both in this extensione and in the Relay website profile. Please Mozilla, stop acting this way!

- (2022-05-29) Brian: Firefox relay is great, 5 stars. The extension isn't. It's glitchy and doesn't render properly for many websites, getting in the way. It often mistakes many fields for emails that aren't. As far as the intended use if it worked properly, right now you can only generate new aliases with the extension. This means (1) its useless for people with free accounts, since we only get 5 masks, (2) we only need the extension when signing up for new stuff, not when logging in or doing things with existing masks - so the extension should only add the "generate new mask" option for sign up screens and similar, not every log in screen. A solution to these would be to make the extension also autofill existing masks, instead of just generating a new one. Then it would also be useful for log-in pages where you use a mozmail mask.

- (2022-03-19) Ryan B: I couldn't get a duck.co email address so Relay is the next best thing. I wish I could set up aliases for different email addresses. My Firefox Account is linked to an email address that isn't my personal email address.
