Gather(gather.town) 専用の拡張機能です。
Gatherを開いているタブがバックグラウンドにあるときにチャットやringを受信すると、デスクトップ通知を受け取ることができます。

- (2022-04-04) da Hara: とても便利な拡張機能を公開してくださり、ありがとうございます。 Windows上のChromeで問題無く動作しています。本来ならGather側が標準機能として提供すべき必須機能と言っても良いものだと思いました。 (ちなみに拡張機能をChromeに追加した後に、一度Gatherを表示しているタブを再読み込みして「通知の権限」の確認画面を表示させる必要がありました。ご参考まで。)

拡張機能の概要には「You can receive the notification on receiving chat or being ringed regardless the browser tab is active or not.」と書かれていますが、手元のPCではGatherのタブが前面に表示されていると通知が来ないようです。 (Windows 10 / Chrome 98.0.4758.80) 別のタブを選んでGatherを非表示にする、あるいはChromeのWindow自体を最小化すると問題無く通知が来るのですが、これは想定された挙動でしょうか？
