- (2025-06-06) Frustie Frustie: @Explorepedia Explorepedia, I have found out a way! Where I cannot pay, and use this infinitely, Yes, seriously, I'm not kidding! Overall, great extension!
- (2025-06-01) Explorepedia Explorepedia: was genuinely excited when I first installed the Compose AI extension. As someone who writes a lot, an AI-powered writing tool sounded like a dream come true. For the first few days of the free trial, it was fantastic! The suggestions were helpful, the autocomplete was surprisingly good, and it genuinely felt like it could boost my productivity. I was ready to integrate it fully into my workflow and even recommend it to colleagues. However, my enthusiasm quickly evaporated the moment the "free trial" ended and I was hit with a demand for payment. This is incredibly frustrating and misleading. The way it's presented, you almost get the impression it's a free tool with optional premium features, but no, it's a full-on subscription service after a very limited trial period. I understand that developers need to be compensated for their work, but the pricing model feels predatory after luring users in with a seemingly full-featured free experience. For an extension that fundamentally changes its core functionality to a paid model after a short trial, a 1-star rating is warranted. It's a bait-and-switch tactic that leaves a sour taste. If you're looking for a genuinely free AI writing assistant, keep looking. This isn't it.
- (2025-05-16) Deven Patil: It doesn't work for me. It keeps showing an error: 'Unable to download the model. Toggle to try again.'
- (2025-05-15) user: As an professional expertise, I can recommend this extension to others! It's wonderful! Great Work Developers!
- (2025-03-05) Jaime II Mercado: Great Tool for Faster Writing - Saves time by suggesting words and phrases as you type. - Works well for emails, messages, and longer documents. - Suggestions feel natural and not robotic. - Easy to integrate into daily workflow. - Helps get thoughts down quickly without overthinking.
- (2024-10-18) Azam Mujahid Productions: Unfortunately, the autocomplete now doesn't work for me. i had been using this tool previously for like, years (i started using it in 2022), this tool worked like a charm, until the AI has to come in to this tool, when the autocomplete feature started to barely show any suggestions. then, today, i just noticed, it just couldn't download the latest autocomplete model, and I'm now really screwed. anyways, you had a really good job at teaching me English, because before i had even used this tool, i had like bad grammar, so yeah, a big thanks to this tool! I'm still giving the extension 4 stars
- (2024-10-10) Sander Loenen (Wolfy): Great extension if you need write big texts in seconds.
- (2024-10-07) Erin Grace: I'm using TinaMind instead, which is even more powerful
- (2024-09-19) khoundukar babul: good
- (2024-07-10) AC T: I am extremely disappointed with ComposeAI. They have billed me for two years without my consent, despite the fact that I found the service useless and uninstalled it after only two weeks. They sent a renewal notification to an old email address that I never check, which is a sneaky way to avoid proper notification. I was completely unaware that I was signed up for their service and never authorized these charges. My subscription was renewed in March, and I requested to cancel it in May when I discovered the charge. Despite my request, ComposeAI refused to cancel the subscription, even though I have no intention of using it for the next year and do not have it installed. They didn't even offer to refund a prorated rate, which is highly unprofessional. Since I uninstalled it, after using it for a couple of weeks, I thought I was done with being charged for it. When I disputed the charge for the second year with my credit card company, ComposeAI obstructed the process, even though their representative initially promised to look into the issue. It's clear they had no intention of resolving it fairly. To make matters worse, they exploited a loophole using my Google Workspace credit card information to automatically renew my subscription without my explicit consent. This practice is fraudulent and highly unethical. Their product is utterly useless, and their business practices are nothing short of thievery. ComposeAI is taking advantage of customers by charging them without proper authorization and then making it nearly impossible to get a refund. Stay away from this service - they are thugs stealing people's money.
- (2024-06-15) Nike Young: Best Tool.
- (2024-06-14) Milton Rucks: Free version extremely limited. The premium versions are too expensive.
- (2024-05-27) Valeria Renée: Perfect for brainstorming content ideas and getting the creative ball rolling. I used to pay for 2+ subs trying to integrate a bunch of AIs across the web, but Compose AI brings it all together in one subscription by working in all of my favorite websites (Gmail, Notion, Google Docs, Fiverr, Canva, etc). I also love how easy it is to learn. The product comes with pre-drafted prompts that you can customize and quick action buttons for text editing and email replies. It took me less than 10 mins to get a hang of it and start using it across my entire workflow. For reference, I'm a freelancer in the digital marketing space.
- (2024-02-28) Issam Benchaita: great!!! this app is very useful it has truly transformed the way I approach content creation.
- (2024-02-15) Asim Siddiqui: The app is great, very convenient. BUT there is a huge memory issue.. I noticed a huge drop in memory usage of Chrome when I turned off this extension. Please work on it and I will seriously consider buying the premium version!
- (2024-02-11) Ahmed Rih: Not sure where to start.. I have bitten the bullet and subscribed to premium plan, but I have to say that it is very unimpressive extension. For the autocomplete feature, its slow and not very useful. I miss the old version of the extension, it was much better. Fast responses and smart suggestions, but since it has been transformed into an all in one ai extension, it has gotten worse, slower responses and less intelligent suggestions. Secondly, the other ai features are also very underwhelming. Most of the time, ai suggestions are either general text with tone not compatible with the previous text of it give entirely unrelated text. When I ask it to continue writing, it does not give me any useful text. Also, the ai chat sidebar is terrible. it is using ChatGPT 3.5 turbo, which is the lowest ai OpenAI model and the 25000 words given, this would finish in a day or two if I used it as I use ChatGPT. I think this needs serious work to be a useful extension, especially with the subscription price they are asking for. I don't find it as something I would use to improve my productivity, since I can get miles ahead better quality by using ChatGPT directly.
- (2024-02-03) Jason Burnett: Originally, I gave this extension 1 star because it kept popping up every time I tried to write anything in JS. // is the comment operator, but it also activated this extensions. I complained and filed a support request and within 2 days, they released an update allowing you to customize the setting to whatever double-keystroke you want. That's really impressive customer service. Looking forward to re-enabling it and using it often. Great job.
- (2024-01-31) Greta Villas: I recently started using the Compose AI Chrome extension, and it has truly transformed the way I approach content creation. This tool is a must-have for anyone who values efficiency, creativity, and a seamless writing experience. The extension integrates seamlessly into my browser, providing instant access to its powerful AI-driven writing capabilities. Whether I'm drafting emails, crafting social media posts, or working on creative content, Compose AI consistently delivers exceptional results.
- (2024-01-31) Erin Godshall: I'm new to using an AI style tool, but found this very straight forward to use. It's definitely helping when my writing feels stagnant or repetitive!
- (2024-01-24) Bennet Huber: Discloser: I previously worked at compose.ai developing this extension. It really is a cool app if you do a lot of writing in the browser, it can easily generate useful text with a few keystrokes and insert it right into your editor. Kind of like grammarly, only it can write for you instead of just correcting your writing.
- (2024-01-21) Keegan Musser: Can usually intuit what I mean on boilerplate writing! I am often hesitant to trust AI with text, but this speeds up my personal notes.
- (2024-01-18) Passion King: Downloaded it on a whim and it's been surprisingly helpful. It comes up with ideas I wouldn't have thought of. Handy for creative blocks.
- (2024-01-18) Miracle Dickson: Wasn't sure what to expect, but this app actually gives pretty good writing advice. Surprisingly good at fixing grammar and adding flair to my writing.
- (2024-01-18) Carlson Dela Peña: As a marketing associate juggling multiple campaigns, Compose AI has been a helpful tool for me. Its 'Compose Anything' feature is a standout, enabling me to generate catchy headlines and engaging content that aligns perfectly with different brand tones and styles.
- (2024-01-18) Transform Art Exhibit: Tried this app without much expectation and it's quite impressive. The way it handles complex writing tasks is unexpectedly smart. Helpful when I am blanking out in an email response for sure
- (2024-01-11) Jeremy Hafley: It's my first time using "Compose ai tool" and I find this extension really useful and saves time. :)
- (2024-01-11) Gabriel Michael: This is an indispensable tool for social media managers, featuring a versatile 'Compose Anything' function. This feature supports the diverse writing needs inherent in social media management, from crafting engaging posts to responding promptly to comments. Additionally, the rephrase tool can help in varying the tone and style to suit different platforms and audiences.
- (2024-01-09) Evelisa Genova: I was 😲 surprised by Compose's many features & structured prompts for writing. Once I discovered the variety of these features, and their availability across platforms, I realized the value of upgrading. The integrated structure is crucial, making writing easier than constantly referring to Chat GPT. Compose is 🙌 super easy, comprehensive, and essential for crafting professional content everywhere: emails, LinkedIn, social media, and HR job postings! 📝✉️👥📚💼🖊️📲
- (2024-01-08) Andrew Yuan: Compose AI provides an innovative solution that significantly streamlines email communication, enhancing efficiency and user-friendliness. As someone who has devoted considerable time to email campaigns, I found this extension to be a game-changer. Its intuitive interface and intelligent suggestions remarkably improve the ease of crafting email replies. This reliable assistant substantially reduces the time and effort typically expended in drafting emails, ensuring that responses are both prompt and professionally articulated. It is an exemplary choice for individuals seeking to optimize their email workflow.
- (2024-01-08) Ahmed Wind: Unreasonable pricing. Maybe this could have made sense over a year ago, but with the plethora of AI tools available in 2024 this is very expensive. The text auocomplete feature seems useful, as for the rest of general AI functionality (rephrasing, composing .. etc) there are tons of alternatives,or using ChatGPT directly.
- (2024-01-05) V C: Installed and immediately shot my CPU usage up to 100% on every core. With no usage! I couldn't even start using it
- (2023-12-27) Daniel C: Compose.ai's extension, as of 12/27/2023, is pegging my CPU to near-100% on a 13th gen i9 with 24 cores/32 threads. That's absolutely bonkers. I dunno WHAT this is doing (I assume scanning every single word on every single page into infinity?) but it's getting thrown into some kind of infinite loop. I cannot use this. I disabled autocomplete/suggestions and other options, but it doesn't fix the CPU hogging issue. I noticed my fans spinning up and my processor heating up - and sure enough, this one chrome extension was drawing 200 watts of power from the wall. That can't be right, and all I had to do was uninstall it. Please fix whatever this is, because the extension looks pretty cool. Please make the free version have more uses available for home/personal users. 25 autocompletes and 2500 words a month would be far more reasonable and let me use it most days, assuming the bugs are fixed.
- (2023-11-29) Vel Lev: definitely a best one to compose and reply to an email and saves the time. Thanks to the developer team , ensure and give assurance about the privacy for the users
- (2023-11-25) Libin George Jacob: Latest update is not good as the previous version. Previous version was very user friendly and fast to get more suggestions, etc.
- (2023-11-23) Anand Kumar: The extension was working well before the latest update, but in the latest update, the UI is too difficult to understand, and the features of the previous version are also gone, disappeared.... Literally, the latest update is truly annoying!
- (2023-09-27) Mich De Leon: The generous 2500-word limit for the free version have been particularly impressive.

- (2023-08-22) Alex: Pricing is ridiculous. The free version only has 1000 words per month... just one reply consumed almost 200 words and wasn't suitable to be used. Basically you need to pay between $9-$50 USD per month if you want it to be functional.
