Description from store Is an Microsoft Edge(C) extension which allows users to actually use the already present support for h265/hevc. Microsoft Edge(C) already has built-in support for hevc but doesn't report it to websites which in turn results in hevc videos not being played. Especially with web-based media centers such as plex or emby this will lead to unnecessary transcoding. This will also work for Netflix and give you better image quality at lower data rates.

(2024-11-15) Adam: Seemed to fix my playback issues, for windows I had to purchase `HEVC Video Extensions` from the microsoft store for $1 to enable h265/hevc playback on my device. This store extensions addon alone fixed chrome but for edge I have to use this plugin and it seems to work fine.
