- (2023-11-13) Fat Crypto Bear: Beware of StarkGuardians and their Shady Practices I was interested in learning more about deploying a simple smart contract to Starknet. StarkGuardians' website claimed they could help with this process, but none of the links or instructions actually worked as described. I clicked through various pages only to find dead ends or requests to download their "necessary" Chrome extension. The extension is useless - it does not actually do anything related to Starknet deployment or provide any security features. It is clear StarkGuardians has no real expertise, tools, or capacity to actually help users. Their site is likely just a facade designed to harvest personal data and payment information from those who do not dig deeper. I would strongly caution anyone interested in Starknet development to steer clear of this company. Do not install any software of theirs or provide any sensitive account access.
