- former 14 y/o html programmer here, this extension is absolutely terrible. if you put something like .htM as the file extension it just bypasses it completely. there is absolutely nothing in the code that checks if it has any uppercase letters. take an example here: const fileType = file.name.split('.').pop().toLowerCase(); all it takes is one line bud. there are still so many other ways to bypass this extension, like using an online html editor, data urls, or just using an unblocked game site like frogie's arcade.

- absolutely sucks my school is equivalent to NORTH KOREA in "security" and sometimes we save sites as files THAT WE NEED and now unusable. like TEACHER GIVIEN SITES ARE BLOCKED. this is absurd. I also cant use my dnd statblock generator now but that's a different disscusion

- Works but in a horrible way Blocks files but it can open way too many block screens which could overload the memory on some devices and crash them. This could harm devices and make them unusable. Because this extension is primarily used by schools, which download this onto Chromebooks, this makes kids school Chromebooks vulnerable to having a memory overflow if they open a file that is blocked by this extension. This file extension is pretty much bloatware that opens a ton of tabs and consumes resources from your device. PS - I have 4 years of coding experience in the scripting language called LUA

- It's easy to get around this, just make a sites.google.com website and embed your html file into there, you'll have to use texteditor.co to edit the file and copy paste it though into the google sites page since ChromeOS doesn't have built in text editor for that stuff
