Also read aloud PDF, Google Docs, EPUB, Books in your Google Chrome browser. Highlight texts and click to icon to start to convert text to speech. You will have different options to listen it. You can change voice, reading speed, pitch.

I click on it and it tell me to highlight the text to read it; so I do that, nothing happens; I highlight AND click on the extention -- nothing happens. I highlight and right-click to see if there is an option to read there. Nothing happens. Uninstalled, now looking for a woeking extension. Annoying as other browsers have a read-aloud option integrated.

Also the top 4 results are ads. The text to speech works, but there are other text to sppech options that wont tragically slow your computer.
