Description from store On an internet dominated by ads and corporate-run websites, Indie Wiki Buddy is a browser extension that helps you easily find and support independent wikis. When you visit a wiki on Fandom or Fextralife, this extension will notify or automatically redirect you to quality independent wikis when they're available. Indie Wiki Buddy will also filter results across ten search engines (including Google, Bing, and DuckDuckGo), to help guide you to click on results from independent wikis. Indie Wiki Buddy supports over 500 independent wikis across over 10 languages. And you're in full control -- you can choose your experience wiki-by-wiki! Indie Wiki Buddy also supports BreezeWiki, an affiliated service that renders Fandom wikis without ads or bloat. This helps give you a more enjoyable reading experience when an independent wiki isn't available. Please visit the Indie Wiki Buddy website (https://getindie.wiki) for full details, guidance, FAQ, contact info, and how to submit wikis to be included in the extension. Fandom is a trademark of Fandom, Inc. Fextralife is a trademark of Kinbundo Limited. Indie Wiki Buddy is not affiliated with either site.

  • (2025-06-30) Sebieripper: I visit various game wikis more than enough for this extension to be well worth it and it does what it says I just wish there was wikis for more games like overwatch and my singing monsters Sometimes the extension does just link me to the wrong binding of isaac item that I google searched the exact name of but that's O.K
  • (2025-06-09) user: This extension works so well, if you use this extension spread the word, tell all your friends. I love it so much
  • (2025-06-08) Sonya Keller: Incredibly helpful! Switching from google to firefox, thought I would give the google extension the stars it deserves for helping me avoid fandom for the past months.
  • (2025-06-08) Cas van Dijk: Works perfectly as advertised, great way to do your part in the Fandom boycott
  • (2025-05-23) Angus Holder: Really helpful, I had been looking for some way to avoid fandom.com, thank you!

  • (2025-04-17) mai estillore: works great, love how it also redirects to breezewiki if no indie wiki is available. thank you !
  • (2025-04-09) Klexi: Great Extension just a slight problem currently when using Brave and trying to search for anything it just grays out the whole screen and removes all links from all websites
  • (2025-03-25) Goosey Gooseman: This extension has been very useful for me for a while, but recently I've been consistently having a problem where, when I look something up on Google that has a wiki page for it, I am immediately redirected from google to the wiki page. Just to be clear, I am not being redirected when I click on a link to a fandom page, it is redirecting me from Google itself, not even allowing me to see the search results. This has been happening consistently with various things from various wikis and it's really annoying. I can't seem to find anything in the settings that could be causing it. Edit: Thanks for the help with the issue!
  • (2025-03-13) Roxy: finally, no more fandom
  • (2025-03-07) Spicy Tomatoes (RokinRye): I'm trying to search for random stuff about Minecraft and then i just get randomly teleported to the page on Minecraft.wiki and just a reminder breezewiki is off idk if its this extension or if its a google feature, but its great overall.
  • (2025-02-28) Patrick G.: Finally, no more outdated Fandom Pages whenever I'm looking for Minecraft info. This Addon does exactly as it advertises, with some fine-tuning available such as simply hiding Fandom from Results, outright & forever.
  • (2025-02-15) Mitch Kiggins: Still kinda annoyes my though.
  • (2025-02-08) Brixter Tabun: This extension helps me avoid Fandom.com. Awesome!

  • (2025-01-14) a zebra moo moo: so nice because you don't have to deal with fandom anymore due to breezewiki popups. makes looking up any kind of game wiki information 1000x easier, faster, and more ethical.

  • (2024-12-04) Gregory Hall: Works perfect for me, Fandom wikis don't even exist for me anymore, and I'm loving BreezeWiki redirects too!
  • (2024-11-30) Juan Rodriguez: good, tho most new wikies clearly lack most of the stuff the fandom ones have, such as alt languages and new info, but im glad people are working to get everything updated
  • (2024-11-26) Alex: Amazing Extension

  • (2024-10-23) LordRobotnik: Declutters invasive Fandom results from searches unless if the wiki you look for doesn't have an indie companion. Hopefully this extension picks up steam and causes more indie wikis to replace Fandom links.
  • (2024-10-22) TheAwesomeGuy4505: amazing way to step away from fandom!

  • (2024-08-13) angel flash: It's almost perfect, but it seems to completely mess up google images. I'll look something up on google images, click on the first result, and then my tab will crash because the image was from fandom and the extension is probably trying to remove it.

  • (2024-08-04) Brooks: Fan wikis are more reliable. screw fandom bro!!!
  • (2024-07-16) Derex: Given how fandom has taken a steep downhill trend in quality and becoming more and more corporate controlled (looking at the mcdonald's incident), this is a great tool in promoting the new wikis that have separated from fandom.
  • (2024-07-16) Macky100: Amazing extension, makes finding info without a having to go to fandom much easier!
  • (2024-07-15) Tristan Wemm: Very nice. Only complaint is that if I click on a Fandom image in image search, this extension causes the entire page to lock up indefinitely and I have to force-close the tab.
