Install and pin Glarity extension, open a YouTube video, then click 'Generate Summary' with glarity to instantly receive highlights, key moments, FAQs, and more, or ask questions about any part of the video.
2. Is Glarity free to use?
Yes, using the extension is completely free. However, if you employ the Glarity mode or the OpenAI key mode, service providers will charge a certain fee based on token consumption. At present, the ChatGPT mode is completely free of charge; you can choose different modes according to your situation.
3. Do I need a ChatGPT/OpenAI account?
No, you do not. Glarity offers a Glarity mode, allowing you to enjoy Google/YouTube summaries without the need for a ChatGPT/OpenAI account. Of course, if you do have a ChatGPT/OpenAI account, you can still select the ChatGPT mode or OpenAI key mode in the extension. Both of these options remain free and powerful by default.

It's impossible to ask questions about websites now w/o generating summary - there isn't field for it. Maybe I mix things up, but before there was that field right at the Glarity frame/popup loading. Now it's appears only after you generated summary which isn't convenient if I don't need it/don't want waste time for it. Also I noticed that Glarity stopped to show up popup on click to the extension icon. Maybe related to the latest update. I have had access to the GPT-4 model through API for a few weeks now but when I choose that model I never get any response (it works if I choose the 3.5-turbo model). Every few days I would switch to GPT-4 to see if the problem is fixed but it hasn't. When "inspecting" the extension worker I indeed see the streamed API response so the problem is likely in displaying the response. Please fix as this is the best extension I have ever tried! What we really need is a dropdown list of previously saved custom prompts. It is great that we can make our own prompts, but having to go to settings every time we need to use a different one... and having them saved as a separate note somewhere else is an unnecessary pain.
