Description from store Unmatched adblock extension against advertising, tracking and pop-ups.This prototype is going to be merged with AdGuard Browser extension in the future and will reliably block ads even within the rigid bounds of Manifest V3. Surely you're familiar with AdGuard Browser extension, which effectively blocks all kinds of Internet ads. But with the release of Manifest V3, it will no longer work. To keep you from remembering what pop-ups, ad banners and ad videos look like, and to make you feel safe knowing that the extension protects you from trackers, malicious and phishing sites, we created AdGuard Browser extension V3. ============================== Read about Manifest V3 on our blog: https://adguard.com/en/blog/adguard-mv3.html ============================== Any questions or bug reports are very welcome to be left here: https://github.com/AdguardTeam/AdGuardMV3/issues Or at our forum: https://forum.adguard.com/ ==============================

  • (2025-07-04) s f: Once useful has not become useless. Sad days ahead. Not keeping up with the changes in some major sites for which I got it. I am sure you know which those would be. So... I am glad I didn't go for the paid version. This has happened to me in the past... paid, then was left in the cold. Not again. I do hope it will catch up again (hopefully).
  • (2025-06-12) Alexei “Oleksii” Malyshenko: Error message «The extension failed to load properly. It might not be able to intercept network requests.» Chrome - Version 137.0.7151.103 (Official Build) (64-bit) OS - Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS
  • (2025-04-29) Mihiro D: I had to uninstall this as the developers have caved into the demands of Google and unblocking ads, imposing a restriction, and allowing Chrome to disable filters. Time to switch to another browser.
  • (2025-04-23) Google User: Really lags and I have a fast CPU. The regular Adguard extension has now been effectively rendered useless thanks to Google limiting the number of filters in MV3, I am keeping my fingers crossed that despite this heavily bloated version, MV3 beta will be exempt. Otherwise, I will have no choice to switch to Brave for the timeeing or Firefox. This is going top far Google...
  • (2025-03-14) Andrea Webster: It works pretty good
  • (2025-03-13) Leon Cail: five star good thing. Thank you.
  • (2025-03-07) Cody: this along with AdGuard Extra works extremely good just as good as Ublock some people are saying it doesn't work on YouTube but it's working fine on YouTube and it even works on Twitch at least for me everything seems to be working great
  • (2025-01-13) Mike Quinlan: I've been using AdGuard AdBlocker (MV3 Beta) for almost two years and it works great. The effectiveness of MV3 ad blockers was critical in my decision to replace my Chromebook with another in early 2023, and this appeared to be just as effective as the non-MV3 version. Two years later... still no ads.
  • (2024-12-25) Rudranil Ghosh: Best MV3 Adblocker IMO
  • (2024-12-25) Đăng Khôi Nguyễn Văn: Very good, can add filters, customize filters
  • (2024-11-26) Lea Shadav: usually this extension is great but today ads are getting through, i see it says it was updated yesterday but seems the update broke some things still giving 5 stars as it usually does great, please fix the issues thank you
  • (2024-11-03) Matteo Bellissimo: There's an annoying bug at the moment: some chrome downloads fail and display the following error message "download blocked by your organization". After some trial and error I figured out it was this extension blocking them. So if you have the same problem, just temporarily disable it.
  • (2024-11-02) I hate accounting: Very good.
  • (2024-10-18) 森林ヴィンセント: They removed on all versions for thwe chrome extension the possibility to manualy update, and change the time for updates. No control equals no star
  • (2024-10-16) Bernhard Erras: Ich finde die AdGuard Werbeblocker MV3 Beta sehr gut- Es macht was es machen soll!!!
  • (2024-09-30) Slava Lishnevsky: My favorite. However, starting from September it doesn't block ads on YouTube in Chrome. This needs to be fixed.
  • (2024-09-29) Levi Pama: I'm confused between this and adguard adblocker app! but its working, so no complaints here! this one seems very little users compare to other one anyway I just want to know the difference between them!
  • (2024-09-29) Jayden Furgusson: does not work on youtube it makes the screen go black while the video still plays
  • (2024-09-28) Around Sound: Best choice of all, doesn't slow down the browser or block the wrong stuff and always gets rid of the ads and other dangerous stuff too. Absolutely brilliant!!!
  • (2024-09-23) Anthony Beninca: I've been testing this extension for a while now, and I gotta say I'm impressed with what has been accomplished despite the manifest v3 limitations. It's a great extension.
  • (2024-09-18) shu hua: GOOD!
  • (2024-09-17) yinglin li: works great for me! best adblocker!
  • (2024-09-16) 최재언: Very Good!!
  • (2024-09-12) Nick Childs: Pretty mint!
  • (2024-09-10) Moo Scree: Great for an MV3 version so far, especially since it seems to be the only one that allows you to add user rules currently, and includes an element picker. However, it has the biggest extension footprint I've ever seen at 140 MB installed! The UI settings page and icon menu uses up 300 MB RAM, though at least that's only when one of them is open. The Service Worker that handles the ad blocking seems about average RAM use compared to others, but sometimes double. The troubling downside to the MV3 version is sadly the filters won't be updated, so if something no longer gets blocked it's oh well until whenever the next version is available.
  • (2024-09-07) Suburban Steve: Stopped working on utube 😒
  • (2024-09-07) Ksあかつき: not working, maybe something wrong
  • (2024-09-07) Ah Xin: nice !
  • (2024-09-05) Sasha: Seems ok, I don't know the difference in functionality over regular Adguard. If this is its replacement why call it beta and why not remove the other Adguard version especially since there's a message it will be stop working soon. Oddly, there seems to be multiple versions of Adguard by the same developer. I'm sooooo confused!
  • (2024-09-05) William: A very nice extension from Adguard to combat and handle MV3's limitations pretty nicely, it functions quite well despite the limitations, though it definitely is a difficult road trying to maintain and play nice with the restrictions. To note to the google user that stated the repository is archived: They have explicitly stated that this (The MV3 version of the adguard extension) is a replacement to the MV2 extension, while it is odd that they archived the repository, it was done once the extension entered the Beta Stage, and the original MV2 version of the extension will be renamed, maintained, then eventually deprecated. They do not in any way intend on backtracking and sticking with only MV2 or leaving the chrome userbase and everyone else who's using browsers that intend on shutting down MV2 extension support.
  • (2024-09-03) Young Wook Koh: It is a great Ad-blocker.
  • (2024-09-02) Daniel M.: Best Ad-Blocker ever seen. Thanks for programming and updating. ;)
  • (2024-08-31) Littlenine Ennea: i like this
  • (2024-08-30) Eric Ketzer: Chrome said to switch now to this one. It works very well, but why don't you just update the original one?!
  • (2024-08-29) Anita Grace: I was happy to see an alternative Ad blocker from Ad Guard. This version works well, and provides a fast, clean browsing experience. I've read from others that this one is a memory hog however I have not had any problems.
  • (2024-08-23) Philip Pham Hong Anh: very good
  • (2024-08-22) user xqz_91klbb77__e: Testing
  • (2024-08-21) allen asuque: great adblocker.
  • (2024-08-19) Renjie Pongcol: So far this has been so good adblocker
  • (2024-08-17) Mitchell McClure: So far, so great! p.s., It seems most of your negative reviewers don't understand the required differences between MV2 and MV3.
  • (2024-08-12) Alexander Malyshev: Works very well, thank you for that big job you have done! upd: Chrome become much faster comparing to the mv2 version!
  • (2024-08-05) Soul Shaker: Doesn't do what it says it suppose to! No blocking of any kind of ads at all. Try find something better
  • (2024-08-05) Vishal Vishwakarma: I want the developer to make it become 4.7 to 4.8 star rated adblocker. Reduce the extension size and make it as efficient and good as possible.
  • (2024-08-03) yx x: perfect!
  • (2024-08-02) J J: So far, Adguard MV3 Beta underperforms Ghostery MV3 by not listing blocked content, but Adguard MV3 does offer element blocking (It's OK so far) Ghostery MV3 does not. Of the three, Adguard MV3, Ghostery MV, and UBO Light MV3, I'll take Ghostery, it performs better, so far. Adguard MV3 won't be anywhere near as good as Adguard MV2 but that's a Google restriction that affects all extensions going forward at some pre-deterimined time Google desires. New rules restrictions are at 30K max per extension, which is too low for any adblocker. This isn't just Adguard, it's every extension. Still, it uses too much memory.

  • (2024-08-01) Katherine D.: Slows down my browser. It looks the same and seems identical to the standard Adguard extension except larger in size and renamed as MV3 Beta. I'll stick with Adguard "regular".
  • (2024-07-26) Hamid Reza Daryanavard: 280 MB RAM USAGE !!!!!!! no tankyou! fix this issue.
  • (2024-07-16) Osama Abbas: Currently the best.
  • (2024-07-12) Unknown User: This is just a copy of the regular version. So, this add-on is kind of pointless now because it uses way more browser juice than the old version. Had a good run though. Later, Adguard!
