Maksym 2025-10-19: You're asking to turn off the AdBlocker, but I'm not going to remove the entire thing just for CAI Tools. I would, however, add it to the whitelist of my AdBlocker... If I knew the URL! The extension refers to itself as a "website", but is it, really? What a "website" is in terms of this extension has been a point of confusion ever since the new update was released. If the extension is just a chassis, an empty window that loads a specific URL every time you open it, that would be pretty easy to whitelist if I knew that URL. If it's not a website but a regular web app that loads the content from the extension's files, it would probably be impossible to whitelist.

Studying like 2025-10-02: Oh yeah, I used it to download my chats HOORAY! It was so easy. Just open the panel when you are in a character chat and download (I used the first option html). And voilà! I have it downloaded in my files :) A huge thank you man, I'm literally so happy to be able to download my chats :"")
ooga booga 2025-10-02: Really disappointed with how the app is currently. The new UI feels more janky and less intuitive than the old UI. (Why try to fix something that isn't broken??) Additionally, the fact that some of the features (i.e. bigger character icons) are now paywalled ticks me the wrong way. As someone who found this app to be a must-have for RP's, I can't help but be sorely disappointed... (Even the Memory Manager seems less fluid than it used to be.) It's good to see that the developer seems proactive and keen on listening to criticism, so I hope to see improvements soon. (Just a toggle-option to have the old UI back will be miles of improvement in of itself.)
Gecko Wolf 2025-10-01: Looks good so far, I just have a question. Due to Disney copyrighting and all that Marvel bots being taken down, how do I download the chats of a deleted bot? How do I see my history? I saw some people saying they were able to download the bots that had been deleted and I was hoping I can do the same, unless I'm missing something or misunderstood.
R W 2025-09-29: Dude, copying Chatbot Manager straight up ruins the entire extension... - Why would you straight up copy everything from another extension when the old version of C.AI Tools was WAYYYY better and WAYYY more special. you RUINED the entire extension, bring back the old version.
Stop Scammer 2025-09-28: Thanks developer. I used this on Google Chrome. This is as of September 2025. First install the CAI tools extension. Then log into character ai. Click on the CAI tools extension button. Under Chatbot, the Character section, there is a button that says "Quick Access." Click on that and add your character. Then click on the little back button next to "Quick Access." Under the Chat section, click on download. I click on Readable format. It gives me a html file that any browser can read.
Thomas J 2025-09-26: Amazing extension, came to download this extension after CAI started thanos snapping bots due to copyrights or whatever, I can finally save my 5 month long RP with over 5000 message. Some new features would be amazing: Seeing pinned message when you download the chat and stuff, maybe allowing the download layout to be exactly like the CAI chats (so like my message is on the right side and the bot's on the left?) anyways thanks for making this extension, nearly freak out as I was afraid that CAI would just throw my memories and chat down the toilet
Сецура Каин 2025-09-26: Please bring back character and user nicknames when downloading chat. It's like before. Now there are only avatars. Previously, this way you could forward a chat to someone or copy it, but now without nicknames, it's impossible to tell whose message is whose when copying.
Johney Choi 2025-09-25: I love the ability to download the json file for CAI bots from the old version, but the new version seemingly removed this feature. Will this feature be back or is it part of the paid feature now? Also, are there any plans to support other AI Chat site like Spicy Chat?
M P 2025-09-24: Like everything else on the web, the enshitification has begun. Removing useful features or hiding them behind paywalls, generally making it way uglier and worse all around. What was this developer thinking? Why do developers take a good thing and go, "Oh I know, I will keep messing with it and make it worse in the process!" At least let us keep using the old one and release the new, worse version for people who like less features and uglier looks. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Calem Phantomhive 2025-09-22: I think I wrote a one star review and it might have gotten deleted. So I'll try to rewrite it. I dislike what you turned this into. The other one was better because it wasn't too hard to use. But this one has most of it's options paywalled. And yeah he made a way to "earn" some of the options. But I wouldn't recommend anyone this because it's more of a hassle to use because now it's just a bunch of pop-ups. I would give this a zero but that's not an option and giving it a one would get it deleted so. a fake two star rating. Please just bring the old one back!
Craig Jones 2025-09-21: This extension works like the previous versions, but there's more trial-and-error to make it do so properly. Way more tabs are opened for features, and some just don't work without the seperate tabs opened. It gets overwhelming for the user experience. But what really got me is that Message BGs is a paid feature. I liked complete transparency on my chats (I use #00000000 #00000000), so to have it gone... something that looked really tasteful, that didn't feel right. If you could make just that one "color" free, I'll be set again. I don't mind the other colors and the rest of features in Paid versions. Otherwise, you have a great extension that needs more ironing.
Bilbob Aggins 2025-09-21: This was once a fantastic extension but the latest update is a definite turn for the worse. Almost all of its free features that were once accessible by a simple button on the chat page now require opening a separate tab or paying money, which is confusing and feels frustrating to use where it was once convenient and simple to understand. What still works is quite useful, but I sincerely hope the extension can be reverted to the way it was before as it is not enjoyable in its current state.
Enni Larsen 2025-09-20: This was a good extension before, but it's totally ruined now. All I used this for was the larger icons because the ones on the website are impossible to see, and now that's behind a paywall. The developer is saying that it's free on the website but the website isn't working when I try to use it. I would trade all the other new features just to have the custom avatars and it looks like I'm not alone.

Choucho 2025-09-19: Unfortunately with the latest update it became much less usable on PC and completely unusable on mobile. Please, make it overlay over the page like it was before! :) EDIT: Increasing a bit the rating hoping the problems on mobile will be fixed!
Tarlosfan126 2025-09-18: You are currently getting a lot of hate, and I can understand both your viewpoint and the users' viewpoint. I find it admirable that despite all this negative feedback that you are still willing to push through and keep this extension available to all users. The only thing that has really bothered me so far is the loss of the character and user bubble chat colours. Now, I think that was fairly, as you put it, compensated by giving us previously locked features. I do understand the hate towards the new manager on mobile, and I've honestly just uninstalled it on mobile, but I've kept it on PC. Overall, considering that we have gotten new features, especially ones that I had never used or heard of before [dice roll mode being one of them. Would you mind explaining it to me in your reply? :) ] I still think this is a good extension. I will admit, I was upset about losing the message colours as cai can sort of...blend together if you understand what I mean. But I am trying to save characters and such and see how that works out. Thank you for this extension!

ProDreamCrusher 2025-09-17: I came here to say the update has made this unusable but it looks like everyone else said it before I could. Guess I'll have to either find a new avatar resizer and bot settings viewer. I mean seriously? Changing it to open a entire new tab? That's utterly brain-dead on mobile. You've killed an extension that worked perfectly fine before, well besides the button never remembering where it's been set on the screen. You either roll back, add the popup box back or roll instead with the consequences of your own actions, being the 1 star reviews.

Angelica Lasher 2025-09-17: Put the avatar sizing behind a paywall when it wasn't before. Its not really ever received well when previously free features suddenly are paywalled like this. UI Was also made not very accessibility friendly hurts the eyes. New update is really bad visually.
Dream_Weaver 2025-09-16: What did the old layout ever do to you😭 jokes aside this is actually a pain to use on mobile. Please consider rolling back this update, or at least making it optional. The fact you have to go to another tab just to access the menu is annoying at best, not to mention unnecessary, seeing as the previous system already worked fine and was far more pleasant to navigate.

Natalia Nowaczyńska 2025-09-15: Used to be great, now it's meh at best. Sure, I appreciate the effort, but the avatars are literally tiny now. In fact, they are 1/4th of the chatbox's size, instead of the usual, bigger one. Even disabling the extension and reloading the website doesn't fix the issue.

Jaxolon333 2025-09-15: worst update ever, they locked the only features i use this extension for, that being to make the bot and my pfp's bigger on the chats, while also changing the color of the chat bubbles, i use that so i can better differentiate which message is mine and which one the bot's, like how the app does it. i understand locking the cosmetic features behind a paywall (like you said in response to another review), like custom fonts, text color and custom backgrounds, but this is too far, i don't care about all of the previously paywalled features becoming free, i wasn't gonna use them anyway, i just wanted to be able to see the pfps and text bubbles better

Rz RaZeR 1930 (Germany) 2025-07-16: Giving it a solid 5 stars. The only issue is that it takes too much time to duplicate messages and the rest is completely fine It acts more like a life-saver because ca.i now shows "Too many messages to duplicate" (Not to mention there were 4201 messages) Editing: This is my first time use but i think they are creating too many shells, i mentioned only 200 shells but it created 4563 for what? (Still increasing)

krish patel 2025-05-02: Good extension but I just have a few questions. I tried to clone one chat of mine with has around 8400 messages. I clicked on "This conversation"-->"Create Duplicate"--> and I chose the "New version" in the cloning menu. And it showed creating shell messages that went on for like 32K for 8400 messages and it is still going. Thankfully I still do have my chat log from history so I could access my chat again but was that a bug? Should I try with the "Old version"? Also, if I create a "private copy" of the public bot, is there any way I can also transfer my chat history with that bot from the public one to private one?
Manasseh 2025-04-27: when i type in a memory it saves it but i want it to remember when me and the charater talks, but i have to type it first then talk to it, thats how i got it to remember, Plus, is there a way to stop the beeps before and after the charater speaks?
