You can also save a bookmark to a local or online XMLTV file – e.g., chrome-extension://lnhfllpjnichiepbkgnfhpaakhicbelh/src/app.html#<XMLTV-URL>. Doesn't work with gzipped XMLs, though. Nice app, but looks like a proof of concept: needs a ton of work.

I figured out how to work this EPG viewer. You have to go into the extension options and turn on "Allow access to file URLs". Then you can just drag and drop a local XMLTV file into Chrome and can view the EPG with the data from the XMLTV file.

Works great! Lets me easily view the XMLTV from my ErsatzTV instance without leaving the browser. I just wish there was a Firefox version too!

How does this work - how can you publish it without instructions? I found how it works - you need to load an XML file from the internet. Loading local xml files won't trigger the plugin. It would have been nice if there were instructions. Didn't load any images.

Didn't do as it said. Useless due to no instructions or button to load a xmltv file. When opening a xmltv file this extension don't take over and show us the guide.

Excellent extension. Works very well. One improvement would be to be able to see the show details when a users clicks on the show in the EPG.
