Monitors gold, silver and platinum price, as well as gold to silver price ratio.
Prices are updated a few times per minute and displayed in the extension's pop up window, which appears when the extension's badge icon is clicked. One of the values is also continuously presented within the icon.
The user can choose to see the prices in one of seven currencies and for two different weight units.
The data is being provided thanks to the courtesy of bullionvault.com

- Been using this for years! Love it! Its absolutely essential viewing if you are in the gold (or silver) trade. Should come with a health warning though. Gold prices are subject to wild price swings. Has me pulling my hair out on a regular basis. Robert

- Very well-executed. Compared to the other precious metal valuation extensions, this one is, hands-down, the best. That said, there are a few suggestions I would make: Make the tooltip configurable. Presently it shows GOLD, SILVER, GS RATIO. Make the text a string variable and use RegEx substitution to provide the values. Ex. Tooltip: "AU_Oz, AG_Gm - AG_TO | GSR" Would show "1092.37, .81 - 14.74 | 74.09" or GoldInOz, SilverInGram - SilverInTroy | GoldToSilverRatio, with the delimiters whatever the user set them to be. Add another unit! Gram price would be very nice, as opposed to making the user do the KG conversion. Platinum? Palladium? Rhodium? I'm not sure what your REST/AJAX interface is or what data you have available, but some additional metals would be sweet. In short, more of the same! FABULOUS extension, I just want MORE!

- Fantastic extension. I just realized today that the price of gold is built into the display icon so I can see it at all times. Great for trading and investing. Also has a silver to gold ratio so I can milk disparities and trade between the two.
