- I absolutely love this extension! I'm a 90% Google Gemini user, 9% ChatGPT user, and 1% dip my toes into trying Anthropic, Grok, etc and this extension saved my LIFE its that good! Most important of anything to me is being able to export all my chats, from all my various accounts. I do actually love the tagging part, since I have a pretty modest amount of chat threads (about 1200 in total for all my accounts) I sometimes **DO** need to filter by several tags to drill down to the exact one that I need. There are other chat message exporters out there, but none have impressed me as much as Echoes. It was a super easy decision when I found it to pay for it - but now they also have unlimited accounts for free users now. That's pretty epic I think! There's loads of features in this extension that make it very attractive for data analysis nerds like me. (And after inputting the same prompts over and over for years, I finally said "enough" and am harvesting all the data from my chats right now! Cheers to the devs. I don't know them personally, but I wish I did because I've never paid for a Chrome extension in my life! --- Tiny Issue with Google Gemini Chats - that I believe is patched. My only gripe is that since Gemini is my "go to" chatbot provider, there have been some glitches. When I only had my one account managed by Echoes there didn't seem to be any issues whatsoever. But when I added my second Gemini account, it pretty much stopped indexing my first Gemini account. This went on for a bit (because I honestly didn't have the time to fix it, and I didn't want to make it worse since at least it was updating the second as well as it did the first). So over this weekend I deleted my two Gemini accounts in Echoes and re-imported/added them. They seem to be working, and I'm going to hope that that functionality keeps!

- People aren't giving Roberto enough credit. Yes this extension has had its share of bugs, but he has fixed them consistently and has been very communicative about upcoming changes on his Discord. The extension does what it's supposed to do, and does it well. I prefer this search over ChatGPT's own. It is way faster to find the keywords you're looking for, more granular, and has more ways to search and across multiple LLMs. Give it a try.

- The core functionality simply doesn't work in Gemini if the prompt is started with a "Custom Gem." I contacted their support for help and never received a responseβchecked spam and all other folders, nothing. For a paid product, having an unresponsive support channel is unacceptable. You need to actively monitor and reply to your support tickets. When users have problems, they need to know someone is there to help. A quick check shows their social media has been inactive for over a year. Ironically, the only link that seems to work flawlessly is the one for the payment option. This gives the strong impression that the project is abandoned. If you are still accepting money from customers, you have an obligation to communicate and show that the product is actively maintained. It's an interesting concept, but in its current state, it's a useless toy for any real work.

- I have been using this app for a while. When OpenAI added search, I stopped using it. Echoes then added support for multiple LLMs which was a game changer. Having immediate access to all chats in one tool is very useful. Keep up the good work.

- Too many bugs and performance problems. The app loads slowly, and it even seems to drag down ChatGPTβs own load times when itβs running. On top of that, it bombards me with upgrade prompts. So many that it feels more like a paywall than a product. Hereβs what Iβm seeing: - Stability: frequent glitches and occasional freezes that force a refresh. - Speed: sluggish startup and noticeable lag during normal use. - Interference: ChatGPT pages take longer to render whenever this is enabled. - Upsells: repetitive βgo Proβ pop-ups and banners that interrupt workflow. Iβd reconsider if they fix the performance issues, reduce the upgrade nags to something reasonable (e.g., once per session), and focus on stability first. As it stands, it hurts productivity more than it helps. P.S. All positive reviews look fake tbh.

- Heads up: this is like a scam. Do not enter your credit card details. The glowing βreviewsβ are clearly manufactured, and thereβs even a deceptive popup dangling a promo code. Just a ploy to get you to hand over your card number. Once they have it, you risk unexpected charges and a headache trying to cancel. If youβve already shared your card: - Contact your bank right away to block the charge and request a new card. - Monitor your statements for any unfamiliar transactions. - Report the site to your card issuer and, if applicable, your local consumer protection agency.

- These reviews are not real. The app does not work correctly. It does not allow the full chat to be exported. It may be able to export a small section of the chat, but not the entire chat. Too many issues to mention.

- I was excited to use Echoes, and I tried signing up for the membership, but it didn't work for me at all, and "Check the discord" doesn't count as documentation. I was trying to use Echoes with Gemini, and maybe it's bad at connecting to Gemini, but what I saw was 1) Echoes was not listing all of the chats that I had in Gemini and that I wanted to export. 2) When I exported a chat, it was a fraction of a fraction of the chat that was exported. So, seemingly a total fail. Maybe it would've worked with help from the discord, but I decided to just pursue my own ways of exporting AI context rather than this. The membership and the UI also just feel janky, like I'm going to have to keep an eye on the credit card receipts to make sure they actually canceled the membership. Obviously there are many happy customers using this, so I'm sure it works for them, but I personally didn't see it as worth the bother.

- I bought this app because I have two work PCs (a laptop and a desktop) and two personal PCs (also a laptop and a desktop). I also have different chat accounts for work and private, on gemini and chatgpt, spread across my various devices. This created a big messβI often didn't know which account or device I was using for a particular subject. It was difficult to find a specific chat, but this extension solved that problem. I really recommend it. P.S.: There are two bugs they're currently working on: 1) ChatGPT auto-reloaded every 15 seconds. The developer sent me version 7 of their extension to test, and indeed, this bug is now gone. And version 7 seems to be cleaner, he clearly works on the design to make it cleaner and compact. 2) There is a hard limit of three devices on which I can log in. This forces me to log out of my sessions each time I switch PCs. I hope they will increase this limit to five devices so I can stay logged in across all of them. But overall, this app has helped me so much that I've decided to purchase the lifetime license to support the developer financially. I recommend everyone to go for the paid version because that's when it really unleaches it's potential.

- Bought Lifetime on the 23 May 2025, because I believe in supporting Devs. Extension didn't work, Sent a email on the 25th, go no reply, sent a second on the 28th got no reply. didn't receive reply/support until I opened a PayPal case. I got no confirmation of message receipt nor any reply) Hi I wanted to download the entire chat history of one and a half years of conversations with Gemini, I believe in supporting developers, and saw your product as a way to retrieve my full chat history, so, 3 days ago, I bought lifetime Echoes. Now I am seeing it will only export that last 20 messages.. or perhaps there is a glitch or something I do not understand. I bought this to download the entire history so I can migrate the chat to another variant of Gemma 3 locally. If there is a glitch or something else I need to do to download the entire history, please let me know. If downloading the entire chat history isn't something possible with your product, please refund me. Here's how to export your complete 1.5 years of Gemini conversations: Open the Echoes extension in your browser Click the multi-select button (checkbox icon) in your conversation list Select all the conversations you want to export - you can select hundreds of conversations spanning your entire history Choose "Export" from the action menu Select your preferred format and click "OK" A zip file will download containing all your selected conversations If you're only seeing the last 20 messages, this suggests that either: The extension hasn't fully synced your conversation history yet, or There may be a technical issue preventing the full sync Could you check if the extension shows that it's still syncing conversations? Sometimes with 1.5 years of chat history, the initial sync can take some time to complete. - This extension is extremely useful: I am very grateful I got the Lifetime access. For Large Language Models (like ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini) power users, this is an extremely efficient tool to search across all conversations very fast and sort according to all sorts of metadata (like "created" or "last updated"). It makes it easy to open multiple conversations, to identify which model each conversation was with. This is one of the most important tools for LLM power users. Because the platforms don't have any official APIs to allow for this type of stuff to be built, the developers have to create their own interfacesβoccasionally, this means there is breakage. In fact, when I first found the extension and bought it, it was during a period of breakage. But I could see that the extension had been around for a very long time, had some rave reviews, and since LLMs are not going away, I just waited a couple of weeks that the issue be resolved. As a I developer, again I understand how hard it is to interface with platforms who are not making it easy, and sometimes actively blocking your attempts. When there is breakage, they have to: 1) Not only spend a lot of extra time rushing to fix the breakage and redesign interfaces, but 2) They have to answer the flood of emails and other messages letting them know that there is a breakage (which they know). These eventually always get fixed, and the value of the extension over the long-run FAR EXCEEDS any minor annoyances along the ride. I HIGHLY recommend this extension. I HIGHLY recommend paying for it ASAP. I hope they never get bought out by OpenAI or Google (but probably will).

- I would love to know exactly how much access to my data they have now that I've given them permission to log into my chatGPT account. Not to mention it's really buggy and has some odd quirks. My whole browser is kind of chuggy now that I've installed it. I don't know if it's caching data or what but all my tabs will Skip and stutter. Finally it's really annoying that it does quirky things like completely rebuilding an entire conversation if I'm halfway down a page and typing. All of a sudden I'm reading something and everything on the page disappears and then it Scrolls all the way back to the top on its own and then everything in the page rebuilds again like it's typing it fresh. Even just now I had it oddly hopping around from conversation to conversation it just randomly jump to a completely different chat from 2 days ago while I was working. And of course none of this happens when I turn off the add-on or uninstall it all the problems go away. I'll give it a day or two to see if it turns out but I don't like if it's reading and storing data on their end or they have any access to my GPT text other than simply searching and keeping the data local on my machine for my ACCESS only

- Honestly becoming a bit annoyed I payed the top amount and the long delays, if that, in supports with some issues persisting. 1) Slow discord support 2) Should work across browsers not count my logins, I paid top tier for full use whereever I go, not selected use, I switch browsers all the time I shouldn't have to pick one. Most people do this so logins should work across them. 3) I am searching a term, and only getting a few responses fully synced. Yes I search Anthropic and i get 25 responses for the same term. This is the CORE use case and for some reason it is failing. I guess I'll have to wait to see if I get help. If I do in a reasonable timeframe I may take this down or modify. These things fixed honestly it would be higher rating.
