An extension that provides auto-resume functionality and an easy to access watchlist for YouTube

Description from store
Have you ever tried to finish a YouTube video you started watching earlier, but couldn't find it?
Maybe it's a show you love, but all the episodes look the same. Or you can't find exactly where you left off. YouTube's built-in history feature... leaves much to be desired.
The YouTube Easy Resume extension provides an easy-to-access watch history list through a simple interface. Once you install the extension, **pin it in your toolbar** and you'll be able to open a dropdown to see YouTube videos you didn't finish, jump right back to where you were watching, and access the content you want. When you resume a video it will start playing right where you left off.
You can also tweak the settings to change what videos show up in the extension. Do you want it to only include videos that are longer than 5 minutes? Or to only list videos you've watched for more than two minutes? Easy peasy.
All your video history is stored locally, no one else has access to what you watch. Besides, we would never judge you for watching four-hour-long action figure unboxing videos. You do you.
This extension was made by the web team in the Annenberg Media newsroom to make watching YouTube a better experience. It's a labor of love, something we wanted to use ourselves, and wanted to share with the world.

- (2024-12-10) Chris Vydas: Installed for no other reason beyond resume. It works. I tried every YouTube 'resume' userscript out there and none of them worked. This extension does, additionally has other useful features. Well done Update: well. That didn't last long. No longer working
- (2024-10-31) chris varenhorst: I can confirm this works correctly! And it only requests permissions for youtube.com and it doesn't seem to have any invasive analytics reporting at all. Thank you devs!
- (2024-09-22) Big wet: Nice. But I wish there could be something more: Playlist behavior: At the end of a list of a video in a playlist, the extension won't save the progress. This usually isn't a problem because if I want to save the progress of this playlist I can just wait to the start of the next video and set the option to "resume videos I watch for more than 0 minute". But this leads a problem that the extension will save every videos I click, and I have to manually disable the save or delete them everytime I click into a video that I find not want to watch. Or even, if I'm in my last minute of the video but I prefer to watch them later, I can't do anything about it; furthermore, if I'm watching a video and I want to temporarily go to a previous position, I'd lost the progress I've watch. I wish there's a toggle for manual/ auto save option because I usually want to "click to save" but not "click to not save" like this extension is made.
