Description from extension meta

Shows tooltips on flow elements and exposes flow information with GPT queries

Image from store Salesforce Flow Extension
Description from store A simple browser extension that adds tooltips to Salesforce flows and displays a table of elements in the flow, allowing requests to OpenAI GPT to explain/summarize the flow. The extension runs on the browser and first checks whether a Salesforce page is open. If so, then calls the Salesforce tooling API and gets the flow metadata/definition. Then it adds a tooltip with relevant information on each of the flow elements. The button "View Definition" opens a frame containing the flow definition in a table with a short explanation and buttons to submit questions about the flow to OpenAI GPT. The privacy policy is at https://sites.google.com/view/mybrowserextensions/home This extension does not handle personal or sensitive user data. It only communicates with Salesforce and OpenAI to request data to display on the screen and nothing else is sent to any other server. • (2025-06-28) Ayisha Weston-Barry: Love this extension and consider it a must have for anyone building - or even just looking at (e.g. our business analysts find it useful) - flows! A couple of caveats I've noticed: 1. flow definition is not available for flows with scheduled paths - this is quite understandable as I imagine it multiplies the complexity; 2. the hover over elements is a true timesaving game-changer however, if multiple elements have the same label - despite obviously having different API names - then it will show the same contents for all elements. This got me a couple of times thinking I had made a mistake, but having identified the pattern it's not a dealbreaker; 3. the most recent salesforce changes (where elements have become noticeably shorter/wider rectangles) seems to have broken the scrollability :( :( I haven't deducted any stars from my rating because I still think it's amazing and would not be without it, plus #3 is salesforce's fault (but if you can fix it that would be incredible)
  • (2025-06-27) Brandon Herold: Was working perfectly, chained through 17 flows and on the 18th it no longer shows markdown data or flow documentation. Tried on latest version of Chrome and Edge. Only thing visible when clicking the purple button is to accept an Open AI key
  • (2025-05-09) Yusuf Khan: Great resource! It only works on certain flows, but not all. Haven't been able to figure out a consistent pattern yet. I have my Mac OS up to date as well as my chrome and chrome extension. The Flow is a Before Save Flow
  • (2025-04-14) John Martinez: Learned about this one at the Dallas Developers monthly meeting. I use it daily to support other developers troubleshooting their work. It's so much quicker to get up to speed on a flow using this tool! Thank you for it Fernando!
